Server Issues?

for those having 3113 issues...

connect directly to your modem

go into ur dos prompt, and type out ipconfig/all

then just before your expiration time, type ipconfig/release and after it type ipconfig/renew

hopefully you'll get a different IP address, and that isnt broken.

also using a VPN connection through someone else that has a functioning connect works also.

A person on my server* said when he goes r0 he still gets packets but after decrypting and viewing them the FFXI checksum is incorrect.

Can anyone confirm this, I'm not FFXI super hacker.

But if its an SE issue, why am I unaffected, and why have I never been affected ever in the past by connectivity issues that others may experience? I doubt anyone in my area has, either.

It's been stated before, but you can't really tell if you're affected if you haven't gone to every zone in the game. I thought I was unaffected by this too until I went to Den of Rancor of all places (tonberry trailers ftl). There may be some obscure zone like Empyreal Paradox or something that it screws you on, but there's just no way to know unless you check them all. ; ;

Looks like the update today ninja fixed it. I'm fine now as well.

Fine here as well, as of 10pm est Port Jeuno was fixed for me. However it was not working after the update, and it still took several attempts to get through the "Checking Current Version" update section. Everything seems to be working fine now, with everything exactly how it was (back to original IP, etc.) when it started.

a question for this, is that you will able to connect through router again after doing the ip release and renew thingy? or must stay with connect to modem?

the second choice couldn't apply to me as 4 pc connecting to my router

I was having troubles post-patch.

They didn't fix the problem with a patch necessarily.

Nah, connect router again and everything. I did this, and with the same IP it was fixed. However changing IP (through resetting or connecting to a friend through a VPN) isn't garaunteed to work (as you might get another blocked IP) but that's all i can really think of.
