I did the exact same thing. Unplugged router and directly connected my modem to pc and it all works fine now. Could be a router problem.Originally Posted by Vaplade

Doompie have you tried going back to router and seeing if you can get on?
I unplugged the router and I can play again....too bad xseed!!!
Argh at this issue... trying to do GPs for the day, so I can finally get my Alchemy Apron, but r0'd Bastok Markets after Taru-Warp from Whitegate and zoning out of Metalworks... Zombied into Mines, area is good, blah blah blah
One of the base mats I need for GP item is sold in N San, so I log on a mule, who wouldn't you know it, has N San as a dead zoneAt this point I don't feel like travelling to San on my main, because with my luck, it'd be a dead zone there too, and I work in 5.5 hours irl anyhow...
Tried to do it on my brothers computer, dead zones were shared across both, so I dunno... This is really annoying, was all excited to be finally getting the damn apron (with a really easy GP item too), and now I can't yet![]()
got 2 gardening mules in windy that dc upon logging in. playing on ps2.
time warner - del rio texas.
edit: did all that DMZ/port forwarding bullshit with router, didnt fix anything
i ran a check on ffxi files found 210 files with errors, well now repairing them but dunno if it will fix it but i'll let u know![]()
those 200errors are probably from brandson's ui.Originally Posted by Sukasa

i give up been like this for nearly 12hrs
Solution was posted on Allakhazam, you need to change your IP address. Unhooking your router may do this as a side effect, which is why it's fixing it for some people. Considering my girlfriend is currently fighting Tiamat beside me, this wasn't an option, so I started manually changing my IP address. I found another one that worked, but then FF started giving me that stuck on "Acquiring Player Data" error some other people were complaining about. I kept changing, and eventually found one that now lets me zone into my previously dead zones.
I don't know what the hell SE did to make your IP address lock you out of particular zones, but if you can change your IP address, do it, it'll probably fix your problem.
Doesn't help people who can't get to charcter select. Or does itOriginally Posted by Deimos

Ok restarting my router fixed it ..... at least my searches work again. Going to check Bastok Markets.
Seems changing IP does work, you just have to change it multiple times if it doesnt work the first time, with my Linksys router, i just hit reset, and it gave me a new ip, loaded up and it worked this time. just reset router and try again?
I went straight to my cable modem ><; this is getting really annoying/dumb.Originally Posted by Vaplade
Bastok Markets works :D Huzzah!
Now lets find out what I broke now.
EDIT: btw I didn't physically go to my router and restart it.. If you know your default gateway, you can just type that address into your browser and enter your router's diagnostic settings, and restart from there. Although I'm sure physically restarting it may work too.
yeah i think 192.168.1.1 is linksys setup, i just hit restart button and walahh, i seriously think RMT are retaliating from this NM blow
I keep getting the same IP when I restart my router at work, whether physically or through the D-Link setup.![]()
