Love SE's 16-bit stuff, but MGS3 had a cool story, I love Cold War themes, and the boss fights were just awesome imo.

Lots of secrets and unlockables too, and good humor.

Nintendo did not have any input on those at all. Nintendo was going to have a peripheral made by Toshiba called the Playstation (lol), Nintendo ended up dumping that idea and Toshiba was pissed, so to make up for it they allowed Toshiba to make those 2 terrible CD-i Zelda games.
I believe thats the correct story.

I would. It was in my arcade at college. And my anime club had a halfassed tournament with it my first year there. After that we switched to all GGXX tournaments though.
