I'm between Final Fantasy IV and Gears of War, and Dead Rising.
Good choices, 2 of my faves for sure.
Dead Rising had so much potential to be fucking awesome, but was kind of a let down in a way. I think my biggest problem with it was the whole real time aspect. They drop you in this huge mall to explore and fucking own zombies with whatever, but then they drop a real time limit on you? I think it would be ok to still put the "72 hour" thing in, but don't make it real time, just make it so that each mission starts the next time throughout the day. That was part of the reason I stopped playing, I really dislike when games put a time limit on you, so that detracted from the experience for me.
EGM had a rumor last month in it's "Q-Man" thing that the platinum version of DR is gonna ship with a new Co-op mode, and I would pick that up for sure.
The good thing is the sequel will have a lot to improve on, and I think be really excellent if they make one.
I enjoyed Deadrising for a good while, but then I just kind of stopped playing it after I beat all the modes and stuff.
Oh and I actually stopped being lazy and picked up FF6 and loving it so far (picking up all the chars now in WoR...)
Fallout 1 and 2.
Civilization (I can kill days and days with a single game)
Starcraft
Zelda: Ocarina of Time
