Bloodthread

Ok, I've done 3 1/2 farming loops in Pso'Xja. I've killed 8 Diremites, 16 (sorry 15, some cockbag JP showed up here and claimed one diremite) Diremite Assaulters, and 12 Diremite Dominators. I've recieved 3 Lizard Blood, 5 Avatar Blood, and a couple seals, zilch on Bloodthread, which is what I'm gunning for.


I've farmed these before, and last time in about an hour's worth, I think I got roughly a stack of each. I dont care about the avatar blood much, even though its decent gil... I'm more concerned about the fact that I went 0/35 on bloodthread off the diremites in Pso'Xja.


Anyone know if they've been moved by chance, or removed from those diremites ? I havent tried the ones in Aydeewa in a while, but those are more annoying (camp with a bunch of diremites is packed w/ tigers).

Actually there is an area in aydeewa where there are three diremites and no tigers.

Drop off "E". This is the place where you go for Mission 20 and 27.

Edit: Or you can enter Aydeewa from entrance 6 of woodlands and go to "E".

thats why I said good camp, heh. 3 mobs on a 16 min repop aint gonna cut it.

I ran around that entire area looking for a viable camp. Theres also a spot with diremites and I think puktraps or crawlers (gg nyn, name the only other mobs in the area), but even then theres only like 5.

oh yeah that's the LV60ish exp spot.

LS did a panty run last night, and we killed random diremites between fomor. Seemed like about 1/20 on thread. (Assuming you're willing to deal with capped area crap.)

Bad luck. Used to farm chips for CCB Polymers and I'd usually get at least 3 Bloodthread before I got my chip.

Of course, Rentwokay might be on to something as well...

actually I put it on AH overnight, so my knife was indeed active while I was farming.
or maybe mine was just worn out and some idiot paid 700k for a broken knife LOL.

Threads are popping on AH though, but I dont usually get THAT shitty luck :\

Yea, it was awhile ago during the whole "Rush to Sea" thing Cerberus experienced when Al'Taieu access was announced.

I've been idling in uncapped Pso'Xja for the last 2 weeks or so, just mainly exploring while colecting Avatar Blood and chips for CCB Polymer. I think I went on 3 passes, for 3 CCBs, and have yet to receive a single Bloodthread. I was getting roughly 1 blood per 5 Assaulters, and I ended up with 10 Bloods, although the last 2 bloods had a bad droprate, so I figure I killed ~60 or so Assaulters w/o a bloodthread drop. Mainly spent in the tower with the Ugg. Pendant NM, but some time was also spent in the tower just south of the Outpost (mainly for the chip from mimics, although I killed a number of Assaulters there as well.)

I'd actually forgotten they dropped bloodthread until I was looking at the new recipes last week and noticed that I had been killing them for a while w/o seeing a drop. Howerver, I was there as BLM not THF, so my results are not affected by any TH.
