I don't have too many, but my biggest regret was picking Knightly Earring, and Magnetic Earring. I guess they're useful (somewhat) but meh.

I also regret not putting my name on the Novia earring list because I thought I wouldn't need it (lol).... now I still don't have it, waiting for ls to do some JoLs to get one but I missed having my name on there for that one period we spammed sea. It's something I know I'll probably get eventually, but just I could have had one that much earlier.

I guess I kinda regret leveling cooking too, although not so much as the Knightly/Magnetic earrings.

Buying high on Templar Mace, Rasetsu Sune-ate+1 and Peacock Charm.
That's 21 million gil down the crapper. Note on Peacock Charm: I bought it "cheap" for 7.5 million back in the day, sold it EXTREMELY high for 27.5 million, then bought it back a few weeks later for 14 million. I wish I had held off a little longer... (note, this was pre-chivalrous chain).

Leveling WHM. I haven't touched the job in a year and a half, and I still get /tells to Raise III in Al'Taieu.

Blindly trading an earring and a chip to the "In the Name of Science" NPC, not realizing how ASS getting Euvhi organs were. Wound up quitting WHM entirely, and didn't get organs until about two weeks ago, well over a year and a half I waited on that crap.

Tamas Ring - since I'm basically a career MNK now, and I'm retired from HNMs, so I don't Chi Blast... I suppose it'll come in handy if I level BLU or RDM someday. At least Rajas isn't very phenominal.

Knight's Earring - with MNK and WHM as my only jobs over 60, I haven't regret this yet - but I will someday.

Bad abjuration gear. Zenith Slacks, Shura Head... storage fodder now. At least I got use out of the Zenith Crown.... Zenith Mitts may one day prove useful.

Activating Eco-Warrior with no plans to do it. Seriously. I've had that god damn thing active in my quest log since November 2003. Two thousand, fucking three.

1.) /bandwagon, passing on multiple haidates back when we actually got all our Ulli stones from doing merit PTs off the aura statues.
2.) Leveling bonecrafting. Cost/reward ratio definitely not worth it marketwise for the past 6 months at least.
3.) Not capitalizing on the great xmas gilflation of 2005. I think I could have made something ridiculous, like in the order of 80 million gil, by selling and buying back later since things like SH were going for 16M at the time.

1. Being a medium hume rather than a small hume

I've never regretted being a small hume. (Though I have a large hume mule and that's fun, too. He's giant!) Seems silly to feel so strongly about such a little thing, but I'd hate to be a medium hume.

And on topic: I kick myself on a regular basis for starting gold on a mule. About 20 million in (bought her an airship pass, all gobbiebag upgrades, decked out her MH with fire moghancement stuff, as well as skilling), and she's only in the low 70s. In this economy, I'll never see 20 million back, even if she magically got the rest of the way to 100 for free.

Worst part is, I keep getting the itch to continue skilling it. c.c
