Being a medium Tarutaru instead of a small one is definately one regret I can think of... I also occasionally have second thoughts about my hair choice.

1. Thinking I'd never level mnk and passing on egg every time we killed aspid uncontested for several months. Now I have to stand about like a gimp asking other shells for it every day.

2. Abyssal earing.

3. Panic buying crap during the xmas 2005 fearing it would go up still (was increasing at 500k a day usually) only for it to drop massively in price a month or so later. Should have saved, saved, saved!

4. Lotting Wlegs in error ages ago and dropping myself to the back of king loot list which wouldnt have been a problem if botting didnt become so common and new comp for stuff like faf increasing from 35 people in the zone to 150-200.

Yes, i have not hit lv 75 since i began playing this game in 04.

- selling a kraken club for 25m
- wasting a lot of gil at numerous times (gleemans belt for 500k etc)

1. Bad calls on how and when I spent my money. Like a Toreador's Ring that dropped 10mil like a 3 days later (was back during high inflation) and hello second Toreador's Ring that I could have gotten 3mil cheaper today instead of buying it last week. At least I got rid of my Serket Ring before 25 were dumped on my server last weekend.

2. Abyssal Earring, though I won't really feel that till my SAM is 72.

Spending 6m on astral rings during Asuran hyperinflation, then getting a grand total of 1m back when I sold them.

Missing countless hours of sleep by being in EST-based HNM linkshells.

Not selling my Templar Mace back when they cost more than an Apollo's staff.

Apart from that, I don't regret much.

When I took a break from the game in September 2005, I sold most of my possessions that weren't ultra-rare and bought a Sniper's Ring, Leaping Boots, and Emperor Hairpin for my real-life friend to use while I was gone so he could get to a decent level.

I came back four months later; December 2005. So I could get back on my feet and participate in events again, I asked for the Sniper's Ring (which he had yet to actually touch) so I could buy some of my basic gear back. It sold for a pretty good amount.

Over the next week, the prices spiked. Massive spike. You all remember it. Just before Christmas, I scrambled to get in touch with my friend to get the Hairpin and Boots back so I could sell them at what I thought was their peak. "Don't worry, man. There's no way they could go any higher."

I believe I got 3mil for the Boots and 5mil for the Hairpin.

Two days later, the Boots were 4mil and the Hairpin was fetching 9mil. 48 hours later, and I could have been 5mil richer.

I've given up trying to predict the economy. I always end up buying things at their peak price and selling at their lowest point.

Additional little tidbits:
- Being a large Tarutaru and eclipsing all other members of my race
- Paying 200k to feed my Chocobo Vomp Carrots after its stats had frozen
- Crossing paths with Sogue and Mearian
- Starting a second event linkshell just before entering grad school
- Leveling WHM first to 75 instead of RDM for the Terrestrial Avatar battles

I think my list wins.

- Trusting an Excalibur holder, only to watch him steal everything from the LS
- Paying 5 mil for the Wise set during Xmas 2005, only to discover a few months down the road, it really does suck.
- Leveling RDM before BRD
- Small Hume rather than Medium
- Not skipping work for a Dynamis-Xarc run which resulted in a freeloted Duelist Chapeau, I was totally next up for it. It hasn't dropped since.
