Was a similar story for me up until a few months ago. And man did I regret taking those breaks. Just one job at 75 helps you so much, no joke.

And as for me.

1. Allowing myself to take breaks to play other online games that I now don't play anymore at all.

2. Giving up on so many greats ways to make gil before the markets for those ways became complete shit.

3. Passing up on a chance for a static when I first started playing.

4. Playing on PS2 instead of PC, LOL PS2 limitations.

I can only think of two at the moment, but both stemmed from impatience when I had too much gil and was too anxious to spend it... I sold an Unsho for 45m just before this so I had a good amount of money.

First was paying 21m for a Gigant and second was paying 20m for a Martial Bhuj when neither really existed, and around the inflation time. I was afraid they would just get more expensive so I jumped on it, I wish I held out. If I waited ~2 months I could've got both for like half the price of just one of them.

That is one thing I don't regret. I love being a Taru Tank/Melee. It's just too much fun when people think you are going to suck cause you are Taru and you straight up own them.

Regret #1: Picking Taru. I was thinking when I made my character I want to be that cool midget that casts those giant meteors from the sky like in the Intro Vid. Ended up NIN Main and always Hating it for loss of HP.

Regret #2: Screwing over my first HNM Shell. Was one of the original botters on my server and I was the claimer for the shell.. let it go to my head.. 'too soon too late'. Was first NA to get a Speed Belt Drop.. was first NA to sell a speed belt drop.. sold my Speed Belt & Osode and used that 150Mil(this was before the Massive gil Inflation) to power level cloth (lol.. regret #2.5) and get 30/61 100 pieces and a Rogetsu.

Regret #3: Not learning my lesson and continually bot/hack and all that other good stuff.. Damn you Taj for not being caught yet >.>; Losing all that I had worked for.

Regret #4: Starting WoW thinking I would never play MMO's hardcore again. Quit Early Feb '07 after burning though TBC X-Pac for wow in about 3 weeks.. had done every single quest in all the zones except for instances.. was nothing left.

Regret #5: Strted playing FFXI again. Let the good times roll.

Paid 25M for Martial Bhuj because no one on our server really did that ENM at the time. Other regret being I didn't start a craft from day 1.

Not being smarter with my low level purchases.

Nothing major, I don't have too many regrets ingame, I picked suppa and I'm trapped on CoP 8-3, so I haven't made the wrong choice there yet

I've taken at least 4 breaks from this game so far, and I started at NA release. My biggest regret through all that is, the last 2 times i left/quit i gave away a ton of crap, and have like no money left at all haha.

#1 Being a thief as first job and picking Mithra because of it. If only I picked a better job/race instead of thief during a time when there were only a handful of European players on the server. It was HELL trying to level it, hardly any parties at all which made me take breaks more then a couple of times.

#2 Always being late with whatever content the game introduces. Getting Sea(limbus) when coins are in massive deflation, Getting ToAU when (yet again) coins are in massive deflation, Joining a dynamis shell which has existed for god knows how long, Joining a european sky shell only 4-5 months ago (I've been playing since NA start).

#3 Constantly trying to be courteous to everyone fucking me in the long run. For example: helping people get sky only to have them quit the shell or game after getting it, passing gear for others because their job is {better equipped/their only job} or to shut them up, helping on NMs yet having to duo/trio-box the same NM for myself later on (or with minimal help).

But on the other hand, if all that stuff didn't happen. I wouldn't have had the friends I do now and more importantly I wouldn't have been in a 2 year running static with (still) my best friends from this game Balmung/Lilarthus (same person), Katsuoy/Megamichan (same person), Bardial(now Joachim).

At the same I didn't know what job i'd be doing, so I was like well Dex or Agi bonus will always be useful >_>
Now I fall in the same class as every other Manthra ; fucking shame

3. Leveling DRG to 67 as my first job that took forever and wasting so much damn time, not to mention its still 67 with full AFv2 and cant touch it lol....
4. Not leveling RDM first
5. Not crafting from day one since i still dont have a good craft. (highest 52 alchemy......)
6. Wasting so much damn time of my life on this retarded game...and yet i continue to do so........

Least i picked Rajas and Suppa, on Apoc Nigh fight still, but probably gonna pick Magnetic lol
