    Korn Unplugged

    Anyone catch it?

Believe it or not, it wasnt bad....at all, even for an overly commercialized band like Korn.

Here's a click, Make Me Bad (Korn) with guest Sir Robert Smith (The Cure) doing In Between Days in the middle.

There's also a symphony backing them up.

Its shit like this that reminds me that the soul of music isn't dead.

I saw a clip of them doing freak on a leash a few weeks ago. I used to dig KoRn a lot when I was younger, dont really care for them much anymore. its cool when MTV does the whole unplugged thing, and Nirvana and Jay-Z both turned it from less of a novelty into a real performance, but I dont think all bands have the crossover potential. KoRn is awesome for jumping around and being loud and angry, not an accoustic show. that being said, the first 2 albums are still badass.

Falling Away From Me, Got The Life, Twisted Transistor, Throw Me Away, and Make Me Bad/In Between Days are the only songs to come out of there worth their salt.

    hrmmmmm

They're not using 7 strings... and the bassist is playing guitar... weird. In between days is weeeeird acoustic too.

Interesting, but I've been very disappointed with like 99% of korn after the first album, and this isn't in that other 1% ><

I almost thought I enjoyed that performance for a second... then I listened to the original In Between Days and realized The Cure was what I liked about it. The original is much better. I'll pass on Korn.

Watched the song, hated it, Korns version is better.

How is Korn dead btw? Not only do they sell out their own concerts, but they head line the Family Values tour which also sells out just because of the bands that come.

Korn is a great band and hell you really cant compare them to anyone but themselves. I still think Follow the Leader is the best album, I never liked Life is Peachy though, the new album is pretty good though.

They arnt my favorite band, and ive only seen them once live, so im not some crazy fan, they just make good unique music. Dude gets props for getting away with playing a bagpipe and being in a kilt.

yeah, because you are in the band, and you were there when they talked about doing the show...... riiiiiight.

if korn released a new album it would sell millions of copies, the reason why doesn't matter, it's still money in the bank.

yeah :\ that is why I deliberately said "the reason why doesn't matter." Because it would sell millions, until the word got around it wasn't worth the money. I thought twisted transistor was the one of the worst songs I've ever heard. I saw the unplugged show, it wasn't bad, for what it was, and how bad it could have been.

I agree with the poster who said what they really liked about this song was the Cure part of it. In Between Days really sounded cool tweaked like that. Make Me Bad? Not so much.

As KoRn is one of my all time favorite bands simply because they don't compare with any other (ex mortition playing bagpipes on stage in a black kilt... rock on :D ), i thought i'd share my 2 cents on this subject.
To those who hate KoRn fine, youre choice but dont slander something before you tested it.
I'm not too much of a fan of Unplugged simply because KoRn its-self isnt a whole any more since Head left. An example of their popularity though for people who think KoRn is dead, would be the Download Festival 07 in the UK pretty much sold out the moment KoRn were announced to play.

Jonathan Davis with short hair = http://www.luds.net/gueststars/3/lovitz.gif

Aside from him looking goofy, I find his whiney and nasally voice a turn off.
