Characters that lean towards being "bad" still have some redeeming moral qualities. The player is placed right in the middle of it all (you're simultaneously a spy from the west, a mercenary for Naja, a tool of the Empire, and a friend of Aphmau).

That being said, I'd have place my bet on Rhazdad as candidate for villain #1.
That is something that I noticed about this expansion as well. Even the Mamool Ja are not absolutely unreasonable, they are trying to take the Astral Candescence for the sole purpose that they are afraid that the Empire is going to use it against them. The only group that I consider to be purely evil in ToAU is the Undead Swarm. (And the only reason they exist is because the empire created them.)

I think the ToAU storyline is a lot better than most people were giving it credit, until this last series of missions which really kicked a lot of ass.

I'd actually touch myself if that happened.

Damn bitch deserves what she gets.
Naja would own the shit out of all 18 people.

Better yet, she will take a fall, so they can win an awesome reward that is on the scale of Suppa, just so she can take it away and give out Imperial Mythril Coins in its place. Naja is evil, don't upset her, for the love of god...

And I'm surprised that so many people think Odin is going to be the main bad guy... well, I guess Chains of Promathia did deliver Promathia as the final boss, so a straight forward one is to be expected.

However, the true bad guys are always the "tragic heroes", who are trying to do the "right thing", but will use the worst methods to do so. Thinking of Eald, Nag, and now... Razdahd.
Everyone keeps saying Razdahd.. isn't it Razfahd?

Anyway, I wonder how many people would be pissed if defeating Naja got you a reward of ridill, d.ring, or ninurta's sash and it actually gave you a menu with the item description popups for each choice like normal reward menus, asked you to confirm if its what you really want, then say "You obtain: a ridill!" with proper coloring, etc. Then another couple minutes of CS, then Naja taking it away and giving you that mythril coin.

I could see that happening. But then I could see people flying to Japan to riot in front of S-E headquarters soon afterwards.

    None of the above.

I vote the entire Aht Urhgan landmass.

    Reason:

Rise of the Zilart final boss: A Zilart
Chains of Promathia final boss: Promathia

If it follows the same model, then it's obvious the Aht Urhgan area.

Nope, obviously it will be the Imperial Coins since they are from the Aht Urhgan treasury.

Yeah, the final boss would be the Treasure of Aht Urhgan. The titular treasure has yet to be revealed, however. But whatever it is, we probably fight it.

Also, given SE's subtle humor in the latest update, like "Duzaf" being accused of "camping the best hunting spots" and the Octave Club, and the fact that a few of the changes they've made in both the last update and some of the previous ones indicate they're more aware of the RMT and what they're doing than just what they read on alla, I'd like to see a certain assault mission.

The premise: Naja has caught wind of a lucrative notorious monster in Halvung, allegedly dropping an item worth many millions of gil. You are sent to investigate and retrieve this item for the Company.

You arrive in Halvung and start running around to find this NM when you notice a group of NPCs with names like "Bxxjjl" and "Tssjjl" on autofollow with each other like the moblins in movalpolos. You also see a few NPCs mining, but they ignore you. Your mission is to find and claim the NM before they do, killing a few placeholders in the process. The gimmick in this assault is that the NPCs will follow you around, waiting to jack your NM, however you can use this to your advantage with various sight aggro mobs in the area by going around the back of a mob to avoid aggro but then trying to get them to follow in front of it so you can MPK them. Claiming and killing the NM will spawn the Rune of Release, but you get bonus points the more NPCs you MPK. Even moreso if you manage to MPK the mining NPCs, but it'd be hard to do that unless you either sac in front of them or have a THF Hide in front of them, or get a pet class to link a mob then release the link in front of them.

Maybe the various sight aggro mobs could even be Magma Tigers.

We didn't fight a "Rise" or "Chains" in those respective expansions, I don't think we're going to fight the treasure either. =o

I've always wanted them to introduce enemies in the Far East that are the five races and are "sweatshop workers" for an illegal money business thing. Maybe they could be called the "ReaMonTra".

Anyway, are the Trolls in anyway evil? They lost something to the Empire or something? Is Megomak pure evil? Or does he fear the Empire or something? Anyway, remember have a unique design (i.e. unique hair) plays a special factor. Going for a transformed Razfahd or a battle versus avatars of Alex AND Odin who are fighting each other and you can't let either win. When one is defeated they become weaker but they still attack and you have X minutes to finish off the other. Razfahd or Alex fit fighting "Aht Urhgan". I just hope Aphmau, Mnejing, Ovjang, and Gessho help out. In fact, have a cool battle where all of the characters of ToAU help out. Trion, Shantotto, Naja, Ja Ja, the Mamool Ja overlords, Gurfurlur, Megomak, Medusa and her sisters, etc.

Also, an unpredicted battle against (a) Poroggo(s) would be awesome. >_>

Slightly off-topic, but is it possible that all chimeras were created as an Anti-Corsair Task Force, hence Hazhalm's location in the Arrapago Islands?

This would be the single greatest assault ever.

Maybe make it so that they /follow you, meaning you can change gear and they will run for a little bit before they regain /follow lock on you to try to get them to careen into the path of aggressive mobs.

I voted for Razdahd since he seems like he's loosing it and going insane.

My theory is that Luzaf chose to become the next dark rider in order to get revenge on the empire. Since from how the history of the Corsairs it sounded like only the empire hated them while the townspeople liked them. And other than that Luzaf didn't look too hostile until he found out Amphau (sp?) was royalty.

Oh well, only one way to find out. *Waits*
