Small FFXI to Vista problem (minor, but annoying)

I've managed to get Playonline and FFXI to work fully on Windows vista (aside from the current R0 BS), but I still have two minor issues that I'd like to clear up.

1: I can not store my password or change account/proxy settings on PlayOnline. All settings revert back to default upon logout (even if I actually spend the three and a half hours to "properly" shutdown POL).

2: I cannot delete usernames from my account list. Try to just ignores it. I have the dead account of a friend who quit and another friend who let his character be a linkshell whore for a while he was taking a break from the game... neither of them are usable to me at this point, but I can't delete them.

Any ideas on how to fix it?

u need to reinstall it and follow my final set of instructions in Workaround to get FFXI on Vista thread on page 2 i got around the bug the original instructions on windower site are out of date they dont work properly with current pol version
