I am a level 70 DRK. Haven't played in about 2 years ish.
What is the best weapon for DRK at this level out of Great Sword and Scythe, and for each weapon which is the best weapon skill?
Thanks![]()

Sub NIN and use Axes.
Or get a Kraken.
The new Rank 8 40k IS Scythe is pretty sweet, but 2-handed weapons fail.
Failing NIN SJ and Axes, then what?
Get a Kraken.
Or the 40k IS Scythe.
OK let me rephrase the question.
What is the order from good to bad of Scythe and Great Sword WS's.
And should I use Scythe or Great Sword?
guillotine is the best scythe ws and spinning slash's gs
tredecim's your best scythe and subduer's your best GS
Havoc scythe until 72, Martial Scythe, then Orichalcum/Tredecim. Guillotine only, unless you get 200% TP with martial scythe try some Spiral Hellskeep to scythe in exp parties.

Yeah but I just assumed he wasn't Chief SergeantHaven't played DRK in 2 years, or the game? lol
I doubt a DRK70 that hasn't played in 2 years would have CS rank.
::Edit:: Beaten.![]()
I haven't played DRK in 2 years, should have clarified. But I don't have the rank anyway![]()
Perdu Scythe gives its bonus on WS, Tred doesn't.
With Abs-TP, I'd put on Perdu. Get those ranks done, Mercenary!
Neither is a clear cut winner over the other. Both have pretty nice hidden effects (ACC/ATT+ and Crit hit every 13th swing respectively) but the usefulness of each weapon is really dependant on a number of factors.Originally Posted by Tonko
Going by base stats, despite Perdu's higher DPS, Tredecim has a slight advantage since it takes one less swing to reach 100+ TP. However with enough Store TP+ the Perdu Sickle should be able to equal the number of swings that it takes for Tredecim to reach 100+ TP.
The other thing thats up for debate is whether the ATT/ACC+ of the Perdu Sickle is greather than what roughly equals a ~6% increase in Critical Hits that the Tredecim provides. Unfortunately, I do not have enough IS to pick up a Perdu Sickle for myself to really test it out... but it's not like I have a fully level /SAM or a Rajas ring to really take advantage of it either. =/
