I seriously wish they would delete Brigandine body from the game, it just allows RDMs to be even more retarded.

Problem is that the Brigadine armour USED to be really really good for its level- Hell, I even wore it when I was leveling warrior (over 3 years ago). but you need to remember, that just because SE has introduced new armours over the years, doesn't mean you just get rid of the old ones. Besides, I think alot of you forget the fact that there is such as thing as a casual player in this game- people who just play when they get time, and don't spend hours and hours farming just to get a whitebox around their gear. does it make them bad players? No, it just makes them a NORMAL player. The game has changed so much over the years that it really doesn't matter anymore what gear you wear, as long as you eat sushi (as a melee) and have the right spells (mage). For me, as long as the person is wearing level adequate gear (even if its NQ) then its fine with me. I'm more worried about the person playing the job correctly.

Hell, when I was first leveling my whm, a NQ light staff was over 900K, same with dark staff. I had a friend who was a lvl 75 whm (first NA 75whm on the server I think) who had one, and I borrowed it one day while leveling, and people were in AWE of the "Light Staff". I think we just need to put things in perspective. Obviously if you have 4 lvl 75 jobs, been in a HNM linkshell for a year or two etc you are going to have MUCH better skills and gear than a person who started playing 2 months ago, no need to bash them about it.

There's still nothing better than it 45-55 for Drg and Thf (galka, elvaan, and hume) except the brig+1.

What's better? Luisant Haubert? I don't know about you guys, but when I was leveling my WAR from 45-55, it was extremely difficult to find any of the Luisant pieces. It's gotten easier now, but I still doubt anyone leveling a first job through those levels will have the gil to throw down on one. I know I was piss poor when I first got PLD through there.

Back in June of '05 I used Brigandine for a bridge between R.S. Chainmail(40) and I.M. Cuirass(50) for my Paladin. I thought it was a good piece of equip at the time.

I know its low level, but the absurd gear choices compelled me to post. Legs and feet were some low level cloth no stat pieces. Usually I blank out names, but screw it, you should avoid at all costs.

Found this thumbing through some old screenshots. I felt really bad for my party when I saw this PLD arrive. We were burning about 10k/hr against 3 or 4 other parties in Thickets and were doing pretty damn nice. I bet those JPs who were running the pt cursed my name after about 15 minutes of this player who gives Paladins a bad name.
