Ideal Convert gear?

I'm hume with 50 MP merits and 20 HP
Regardless of sub, I always have over 1000 for HP and MP
Mage subs I have over 1100 of each on convert.

1100 HP/MP seems really tough to get... I ask for picture. Is that with or without food?

Anyway, here goes mine:

I can get 1047MP and around 1060HP with /WHM and food.

0 HP merits 5 MP merits.

In addition to all of the gear mentioned already, I would also check out +HP rings. Bomb Queen Ring and/or Bloodbead Ring (if you're really anal about Convert) are especially useful if you're a taru.

For clarification, the neck is Grandiose Chain and the legs are Yigit Seraweels.

I use to be able to do the 1100/1100 thing (with food) but lately I just settle for 1000/1000+ range because it takes less equip and is just as managable.

(Observation: most of the people with the really good convert ratios take the picture as /whm. Obviously /whm users are better)

the difference between /blm and /whm is 19hp(in favor of whm) and 19mp(in favor of blm) (regardless or race)

plus some hp/mp merits, i forget how much. puts me around a 1100 hp/mp. depending on subjob i swap out crimson finger gauntlets for znith mitts, tamas ring for bloodbead ring, and zenith slacks for duelist's tights.

Fugly as hell but functional for a non-HNM player with nothing too fancy and not too much rare/ex crap to lug around. No food, 4/8 on MP merits. Guess it's not overall bad, after I finish merits and get enough money for a Hedgehog bomb (and sort out current outstanding gear issues such as boyfriend borrowing my Forest Rope and Limbus being slow with ABCs) should be close to 1100/1100.

Note: Chasuble is town/convert gear till I get tabard+1, I kinda like the way it looks and makes for a break not to see red.

Vail - I could break 1100 1:1 like you said, but I'm too lazy/cheap. Plus, like you and others have said, it's not really needed in a lot of situations, especially with dalm+chapeau and Convert merits.

And I do agree that /whm is 'cheating' when getting a good convert ratio, but I find myself as /whm far more often than /blm.

I find myself using AF hat more these days over Relic hat for the fast cast, as pointed out by many, runing out of MP is hard

Off the top of my head, my setup for Convert gets me to around 1042 HP, 1044 MP (yeah, I know, extra 2 doesn't really count). I'm Hume with 8/8 MP merits.

With a BQ Ring, I could probably throw on another piece Zenith, even though I really don't carry it around much. For now and the amount of free space I have, I like this setup.
