I'm amazed that so many people think that MGS3 was superior to MGS2. In my opinion, MGS2 takes video game storytelling to a level it basically only reached otherwise in FFT - this post-modern user-reflective brilliance that truely appreciates the unique artistic medium that is video games. MGS3 was just a bunch of great (same) gameplay with some cool historical twists.

I love the Suikoden series, but I don't think 3 should've been up there, I would rate 5 much higher then 3 personally. But then, that's all it is - your personal best games, because no one can really tell you the best games on PS2, I'd personally but every Ace Combat game in existance if it were my list.

I think Okami and Rez should've been higher, replace DMC 3 with 1, because 1 is pure awesome. RE4, although a port it's still unique from the GC version, lots of stuff added and bonuses (extra play etc). You can't play the same things on the GC version so it's not just a simple port.

What the FUCK is Twisted Metal Black doing there? I'd replace GTA 3 and San Andreas with Vice City, because Vice was bigger and still fresh compared to SA. I'd agree with most of the top ten, Ico, SoTC, FFX (although now I'd replace it with 12, because honestly 12 is so much better) and GoW.

However, GoW should certainly not be ranked 1st. Why? Because it is basically a watered down version of DMC in EVERY way, it was repackaged with boobs and nudity and shipped off for the people who thought DMC 3 was too hard (it's not people). Controls simplier, combo's not as involving, it was just a button masher, DMC takes skill...hard games shouldn't be penalized anyway since 90% of the games out there most people can beat with their hands tied behind their backs while getting jerked off by some fat dude.

I disagree with the ORDER, but I think they have the right games in there for the most part.

I'm really happy to see Ratchet and Clank, the FIRST Jak and Daxter, Okami, Ico, SoTC, Kingdom Hearts, and God of War.

The only one I'm somewhat confused about is TM:Black. I didn't think that was the best game of anything. Ever.

edit: and yeah I'm not sure what Rez is either. I remember seeing it in like the 5$ box when I worked at GameStop rofl.

Happy they kept FF12 off the list (overrated pos! imho)... but seriously, I think around 5 of those games belong on the top 25 list... I mean Suikoden 3... yeah I loved it... but, most people did not... it's easily outclassed by Suikoden V...

not a chance, 12 is up there as best ff ever for me, although, as a game, i'd still have 10 because it revolutionized using voices during cg.
