How is this shitty for PS3 owners?

It is still coming out for PS3, right?

Because as they lose more exclusives people lose more reasons to buy a PS3 which keeps the userbase small giving developers very little reason to bring new IPs/sequels over.

Also as Khain hinted at, he spent $600 dollars for a game that he could have spent $400 dollars to play.

Of course that's not the real reason, it's about epeen! My console is better then yours.

Didn't Sony get where they were by being mostly 3rd party? Isn't that the reason why Nintendo lost the previous 2 generations to Sony? And yes horrible news for Sony, those 1st party games are not worth buying a $600 dollar system in most people's opinion.

There are still things like Shirokishi and... that one thing... with the bug-sized people... that they demoed at GDC along with Home... And I'm apparently too lazy to go to PA to check the name.

edit: yes, Sony won the last 2 generations thanks to third-party games. And from what I can see, third-party studios will definately decide who wins the next generation (if the term win even means anything anymore). Hypothetically speaking, if every single (worthwhile) game was available for all platforms, 360 would be deemed the "winner", even though more people would play it all on a PC, because apparently PCs don't count, because we'd rather call it a console war. And I think I just derailed myself.

Depends of who you ask, yes 3rd party helped alot but some of peoples favorites are Shadow of the Colossus, Racket & Clank , GT, and there a couple of more. To just complete disregard them makes zero since to me.

No one's disregarding them. They're just not worth $600 to most especially since there's 2 cheaper consoles with great 1st party titles as well. Most people are limited in how much money and time they have to spend on gaming. And unless Sony gives them a lot more reasons to purchase their $600 dollar machine, I can't see many purchasing it.

Now because of great competition Sony faces, by the time there's a need to buy a PS3, I'm sure I, and many others will be able to pick one up fairly cheap!

DMC will have best graphics on PS3 and likely the most extra content, I wouldn't be too worried.

But it was showen to be a FPS o_O. Did you go into it thinking it wouldnt be? For a console FPS I would have to say it was done rather well with the button layouts on the controller. But no console FPS will ever hold a candle to PC because that's where FPS reigns.

Sure PS3 isnt selling better then the Xbox360 but lookat what Sony is pulling in almost triple that of what the 2 xboxes are pulling in? The fact that Xbox 1 is only pulling in 480 is kind of sad imo.

Can you still buy it easily? I dont see any xbox for sales anywhere, and even if there was one, there is no reason to get it over a 360 at this point.

Either way, i bet 1/2 of those ps2 are people who bought it after their first one broke.

If it's coming out for xbox360 and PC that better mean it accepts the xbox360 controller for the PC version. Bought the stupid thing to play PSU, quit shortly thereafter, and now I don't know what to do with my ~$40 paper weight anymore. /sigh

Well it should work for random stuff like Melty Blood and Touhou games. I keep a PS2 controller under my desk for Touhou (mostly Imperishable Night). Melty Blood is still around too, but I got bored of that when I moved away from all my friends that actually play it.

Walmart by me has 20 right now. Maybe a few less since i havnt been there in a couple days. I did not know that about the halt however. Would explain the insanely small number.

Zone of the Enders 3, God of War 3, and a new game from the creators of Shadow of the Colossus/ICO is coming out with. That's reason enough alone for me to buy a PS3.
