DMC4 Coming to the 360 and PC

DMC 3 is better game than GOW2 in my book, DMC4 has alot of potential of being a huge hit title. The 2 games i was going to get a PS3 for is DMC and FF.

Sadly there is no reason for me to buy a PS3 for one game. Seriously Sony need to do something. Kill zone better be god or shit is going to hit the fan for sony.

Sure PS3 isnt selling better then the Xbox360 but lookat what Sony is pulling in almost triple that of what the 2 xboxes are pulling in? The fact that Xbox 1 is only pulling in 480 is kind of sad imo.

Can you still buy it easily? I dont see any xbox for sales anywhere, and even if there was one, there is no reason to get it over a 360 at this point.

Either way, i bet 1/2 of those ps2 are people who bought it after their first one broke.

I think you're talking about the original PS3 devkits, which caught fire for their first two generations due to non-existent cooling.

PS3 will be strong, whether you want it to or not. They will not lose all their exclusives, even though losing DMC might seem like a kick under the belt for Sony. FF13 will never leave, neither will MGS4 (it won't come out simultaniously on the 360 at least, maybe a few years later.)

As far as people claiming the PS3 doesn't have good titles? Resistance is a decent shooter, Motorstorm is a damn good racing game, Heavenly Sword and Lair will surely bump up sales in June/July when they come out... I wouldn't be too worried if I was Sony. It was the exact same thing with the PS2, only then more people bought the PS2 when it first came out because there was no other option (part of it being that dreamcast totally got squashed.)

Again, if you don't like the PS3 right now, don't buy it... but most you derail EVERY.SINGLE.THREAD about how you hate Sony? And this is coming from someone who owns all three consoles. I don't play my PS3 all that much either unless it's for Motorstorm/PS2 playback (I already stated my reasons for having it right now), and I don't see how it's anyone's business what I do with my 600 dollars.... I decided to buy it, I don't see why I need to be constantly reminded that there aren't enough titles out there yet, as if I don't know that.

Let me remind you that the 360 wasn't so hot when it first came out either, but it had the advantage that the PS2 had... it was the ONLY next-gen console on the market for a whole entire year. And if you look at the Wii right now, it would've sucked big time without Zelda (the gimmick wouldn't have been enough, Zelda was a sure bet for Nintendo and is why they ported it over from the GCN in the first place.)

My point is, stop hating and do whatever the hell you want to do with your money... just stop talking about how the GBA is selling better than the PS3, when you can't even compare the two.

QFT! Every system has always had good and low points. SNES vs Genesis for example. If you wanted sports games, you had to go with sega. Sega had Madden and RBI. If you wanted the real version of MK, you had to get sega. If you wanted SF2 you had to get SNES. If you wanted FF you had to get SNES. and so it continues even to today. You want FF13 when it comes out? Better plop down 5-600 bucks for a PS3. If you want an immediate established library, get 360 due to it's 1 year advantage. If you want innovation and party games, get a Wii. As for me, I have a Wii, and I'll eventually get a ps3 since i never picked up a ps2. And i'll probably wind up with a 360 anyways.

So who fucking cares? you get DMC4 on the 360... after thinking about it, since it will be developed separately, the PS3 version will still look better. And I could care less, because the fact the game is out on two consoles doesn't take away from MY PERSONAL gaming experience.

I don't even see it as Sony losing an exclusive... as a marketing and as a beneficial standpoint for CAPCOM, it makes sense to bring it to the 360 as well because of its big shooters fanbase, even though it's still different than a traditional shooter game and is more A/D....I wouldn't be surprised if Deadrising ended up being ported over to the PS3 as well, just because it makes sense business-wise.

As far as MGS4 and FF13 are concerned, I doubt Konami and SE will do the same thing, hence why you won't see them being ported over, or leaving the PS3 completely. I'm pretty sure that both companies know what their games are worth, and know how many console sales their games will attract for Sony... besides the fact that SE is under contact with Sony as far as the main FFs go.




EDIT: Oh and don't count on the PS3 losing leverage and becoming another Dreamcast... it won't happen. Sony won't let it happen, and MGS4/Lair/Heavenly Sword/FF13/Versus 13 won't let it happen... it'll just take a while before it takes off, which is reasonable seeing how it took about the same for the 360 to launch (people seem to forget how CRAPPY the 360's game lineup was in the first 6 months, and the fact they have a year's advantage over its competitors.)

sounds about right, there were about 4 times the number of ps2's out there in comparison to the rest of the field.

I bet every one of your friends had a PS2, while not all had an xbox or gamecube, so your proportions are kinda iffy, lol. As are mine, it was probably closer to 6-7 years after consoles release before it had quadrupled some of the competition.

I know 6 people with GC, 1 broke under warranty.
I know 4 with xbox, 1 broke under the warranty.
I know around 10 people with ps2, 3 of them bought a 2nd after the first one stop working, and at least 3 of them (mine included) have trouble reading dvd, dual layer game and get random disk read error.


You can defend ps2 if you want, but just ask around and you will see it's the console that was the less durable out of the 3.

It's a known fact the 1st shipment of PS2's were garbage, and most of not all broken at some point down the road. I do that you could get a new PS2 if your warranty still worked, which most of the time it was still good. My friend had his PS2 break as well. How many people have had a 2nd generation PS2 break though? I dropped mine down the on a curb once and it rolled down the street for a good 5 feet. Works fine. Same thing happend to my original PS2, I dropped it down stairs and all that happened was my OPEN button became unstuck.
