God armor on Bard

A friend of mine claimed that Genbu's Kabuto and Byakko's Haidate affect casting times on songs as bard. Is this true for either of those pieces (or any other piece in the set)?

I immediately thought it was bull as well, but with all the unlisted effects on things such as Carbuncle Mittens and that level 74 scythe and Tungi (which does jack, but everyone swears on it having double attack), I thought it was worth checking to make sure. Sorry to have offended anyone's intelligence in asking.

Genbu's Kabuto actually makes debuffs stick better because it scares mobs into thinking robocop is singing to them.

I used to use Haidate to lower Lullaby recasts back before getting Lullaby merits and gear to make it stick more consistantly (AF2 pants). Then they got used to tank/flail other LSs. Now they collect dust with the other four god drops. Osode still works it's way into my elegy, lullaby, and stoneskin macros at least (too lazy to carry around Suza boots just for stoneskin)

My LS used to give priority to melee for Osode which basically had every new WAR that joined get in line before the BRDS....

So we changed the rule to stop excluding BRDS and allow us in the Osode list. I was the first BRD in my shell to get one. As a result we also took away all job prioritization for other items too.

Few months later I finish leveling Nin and now I'm in line for B.Haidate but now a BRD is ahead of me on those arrrrggghhhh......

But, like Viq, I do macro Osode in for debuffs. I won't bother with any other God gear for BRD tho. Limbus>Sky for BRD gear.

I actually saw it happen when I was in machina, except the bards actually got the haidate over melees.
