WTF @ Kross and Dammerung, go test it yourself. Mine works at 78% of my current max HP because I am using Zenith Mitts.
Unequip the Mitts and I'm at 73%, since it is 73% of my Max HP it works.

I meant series, as in Lvl 50 JSE rings. I (and others) have tested out the WHM ring, and unlike the BLM ring, convert equip does change your max hp (as far as the ring latent is concerned.) ie. 1k hp normal, if you wore full Zenith the BLM ring would activate, but the WHM ring would not. I've seen reports that the BRD one works the same way as the WHM, and the people I know that use it concur with this. I don't personally know anyone who has tried to use convert equip for the other JSE rings (and I don't know many other jobs that have enough convert equip except rdm and smn), although I have seen a few reports that mimic the WHM ring, meaning the BLM ring would be the exception, not the rule for lvl 50 JSE ring latents.

I may have to test this later when I get home... this just seems weird to me. Though, knowing S-E, I wouldn't really be surprised that they had a series of rings that had different latent activations....
