That's because it fucking would be. Just imagine the possibilities. You'd end up seeing everybody using like Ground types for Earthquake stab though so they'd have to make it a rare TM drop or make most HNM levitate which wouldn't be a problem, or flying type.

Man, and then you could get the HMs from missions and stuff, with all the different possible starting regions you have, (RBY, GSC,RSE) you end up with three different nations/factions. Fucking, why can't the GameMachine people use their brains and make this?

I like Toriyama's drawing style, but would it really works in a mmorpg. >_> There will be even less diversity than FFXI, and you probably don't have access to anything but clothes. There is going to be so many goku/picollo clone it's not going to be fun. I don't think there would be much diversity between different "jobs" too.

That said, game still look cool. I really hope they would allow your character to fly around at light speed, even if that's unlikely.

Dragon Quest says you could go with the Toriyama style and do fine. Though honestly, I doubt you could start with the "OVER 9000!" stuff, odds are they'll have you killing the DBZ equivalent of rats for 30 levels and timesinks will guarantee you don't have super e-peen powers for years.

That being said, it'd be funny to play. Sorta a JP version of City of Heroes.

yeah it will be complicated. I think it would be dumb if they made the chars from the shows as chars we could play, seeing the same models everywhere would be to boring. And you're right, who would chose to be a namek over a saiyan lol. Even if they took out racial passive things like the saiyan ability to get stronger after every fight, I would still pick a saiyan out of principle lol.

I guess this is legit, kinda felt like an early April Fools joke but a few sources picked it up.

This game would do extremely well based on its license alone, but more than that, the gameplay would appeal to a ton of people. It'd have to be a casual MMO, and I guess they could set it up into story-based missions where you form a group to progress, etc, maybe just random quests. You couldn't really use the actual DBZ story as the central plot, since everyone would just want to be Goku etc.

To me, the biggest attraction is flying. If they made the world large enough and had relatively fast, free-roaming flying, that'd be just about as good as it gets. City of Heroes was all around fairly shitty, but the ability to fly gave me a ton of fun hours, regardless of any real actual gameplay. Flying is just fun, I don't think many people would deny it, and DBZ just has that appeal to it where you "power-up", get an aura around yourself, take to the skys and just fly. IDK, if its real, I think it could work. I know I'd at least give it a try.

I don't know if anyone played Bid for Power, the TC for Quake 3 a few years back, but it was a really awesome 1st/3rd person fighting game, that really captured the essence of DBZ fairly well. The free roaming flying was what made it insanely fun.
