Well after playing through the Heavenly Sword demo about 10 times, heres my take on it.

Unimpressed for the most part.

Thats mainly due to the fact it's like a year old demo they had way back at E3 of last year I believe... and it's extremely short!

I could notice small graphical glitches as well, or screen-tearing as you call it. Without having to look hard at all.

The controls have a rather large learning curve, and like mentioned before it's got very different controls from the God of War games. And they take some serious getting used to due to no jumping ability or block button.

But it's still just a demo of an older version of the game I guess, I'm sure the finished product will still be as good as we are lead to believe.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma still has the best Demo on the playstation store still, just ahead of Gran Turismo HD.

I like it because it actually showcases the finished product, as opposed to other demos...

The F1 racing game was bad for that, the graphics on the demo are fucking shit, while the finished version was 25 times better. And it's the best visual effects for rain in a racing game according to several reviewers.

Warhawk for the PS3 has been dated and priced.

It's coming out on Aug 28th for you PS3 people. The downloadable version will be priced at $39.99 USD and the retail version $59.99.

The Blue-Ray disc retail version will come with "the making of" videos and other behind the scene stuff along with an included Jabra bluetooth headset.

I have no idea how good the headset is, I guess I could look that up and find out, lol

Majority of online reviews seem to be consitently giving it a 7 or 8 out of 10, so it seems favorable.


I don't see it as a wise business decision to release a game, which will sell millions of copies, with a shitty-ass headset, lol

I still use that headset for even my ps3 games to date, works great still.

yea, i was looking at warhawk for that reason, if it was just a shooter i'd be on the fence about it, but with the headset and a game for $60 ill prolly end up picking it up, even if its not the best shooter on the system.

well it's a first party game, so they won't be stingy on the online servers. So it'll be good.

I was in the Warhawk beta. It was ok. I had problems with the servers actually, rarely any there to connect to or most of them had a ping of 999. It has an open mic, so it might be a little annoying with players on your team.

Of course it was just a beta to see how impressions were and get the tweaks out. It was fun and there was some balancing issues to be fixed, which I bet they did take care of... but once Socom comes out, I don't think it will be played as much. Many people like familiarity, even though next gen is here as this generation of games, people still look back wanting something they come to love. And as Socom promises, it will be similar to 1&2.

Don't get me wrong, Warhawk has it's potential, ranking and good point system, some fun modes and just having dog fights is a blast. I just don't know if people are will to keep playing this. The Jabra BT125 headset is great with the PS3 (the headset that is packaged with Warhawk). I've had a motorolla one before and it kept crashing Rainbow 6 Vegas, so it's still a worthy buy just for the headset.

Anyone check out the GRAW2 demo? How do you like/dislike it?

I've downloaded the demo but haven't actually played it. I've got GRAW 1 for PC and I liked it pretty well so I imagine I'll sort of like it on a console.

i didnt care too much for the GRAW2 demo, then again, im not exactly that good at that style of shooter.

I'm too used to the excellent control in Rainbow 6. GRAW 2 is second rate to it in my opinion, as it doesn't share a similar cover system.

The demo wasn't very impressive graphically either, yes it's just a demo...

Vegas wasn't as good as the 360 version, and it looks like Ubisoft is following the same shitty trend with GRAW 2.

Some of the latest info on Gran Turismo 5 Prologue from one of the developers. The latest Famitsu interview with Polyphony Digital's Kazunori Yamauchi, finer points listed below:

-GT5 will be playable at Leipzig, where multiple online features will also be announced.
-GT5 Prologue will be Home compatible
-While called Prologue, Yamauchi says there will be options to make money, buy cars, etc.
-In the final build, there are ambitions to let you walk around a "town" and look at cars. We imagine this means your Home avatar checking out other people's GT5 cars.
-GT5 Prologue will have 40 cars and 4 tracks, totaling 8 configurations.
-If you use a steering wheel for the game, you can look around the cockpit in cockpit view by moving around the D-Pad. Nice.
-In the full game of Gran Turismo 5, you can fully customize the interior of the car.
-Right now, 16 cars are in each race, but in online modes, the number may shrink to 12.
-Any money, cars, etc. you earn in GT5 Prologue will be able to transfer over to the full Gran Turismo 5.

Now when you say it will be Home compatible, you mean like the Motorstorm thing they showed at E3 where you can pick people from your friends list via your TV @ Home and start a game? If so that's pretty cool.

Also, are the trophy thingies in Home going to work like achievements? Cus if they do, the games that are currently out (and will be released up until the launch of @Home) won't have any trophies..
