Now when you say it will be Home compatible, you mean like the Motorstorm thing they showed at E3 where you can pick people from your friends list via your TV @ Home and start a game? If so that's pretty cool.

Also, are the trophy thingies in Home going to work like achievements? Cus if they do, the games that are currently out (and will be released up until the launch of @Home) won't have any trophies..

As far as Home compatibility goes, I don't know what exactly he's referring to either. I would assume all games allow you to launch them from Home in a similar manner. I believe when he says "Home compatible" he's referring to it having the trophy system(achievements).

And games that are currently out will not be given any trophies when Home comes out(or so they said). They specifically said it will only apply to games coming out after Home is out. But who knows, things change.

I remember reading an interview with one of the developers probably 3 months ago, and he did state car damage will be in Gran Turismo 5.

That was one of the foremost questions they were wanting to ask him. They will also be supporting at least 12 player online, probably 16 when all is said and done. To be honest I don't remember the name of any of the Polyphony guys, they're pretty hush-hush and stay out of the limelight.

That was a developer saying that in a post on some developer forums.

He's since retracted his statement and they made an official statement saying DVD does not constrain them by any means.

I'm sure that was after they threatened his job.

Looks like it's Sony's equivalent of the Gamertag on 360 for the upcoming HOME program achievements/trophies.

You more or less download the compilations on your PC, then transfer them to a portable storage device and then transfer them over to your PS3.

Because, for example, the Ninja Gaiden Sigma creator had said in an interview that his game will not support Home, so maybe some developers will and some won't. But hopefully all games that come after it should be mandatory. Sort of how it is mandatory for all 360 titles to ship with 1000 gamerscore.

Yeah, They'd have to add a downloadable content to add HOMe content to any prior released games. I doubt they'll both, but it'll certainly be status-quo from HOME's release onward to have achievements. They add a considerably amount of replayability to the games, it wouldn't be practical for them not to.

On a seperate note, anyone here street fighter fans?

Super Street Fighter II HD Remix is coming out soon for PS3 and 360 on their respective marketplaces. Both versions will have online play, but not cross platform unfortunately.

I'm warning you I'm a pretty hardcore street fighter player. I have 2 Street Fighter 15th anniversary joysticks running on my PS3, I have Street fighter anniversary for PS2, which has Hyper Street Fighter anniversary, and Street Fighter 3: Third Strike <--- Awesome game(great animation)

Picked up the joysticks for about 75 bucks each on ebay. They should work for other fighters as well, I'm awaiting on a bid for Virtua Fighter 5 lol
