I get off in 2 hours time, and I need to drop off Armored Core 4 at my buddies house(I picked up 2 copies of it today). So It'll be awhile, just add me onto your PSNID Friend list, I'm hard to miss. Down by the bay? Just may.

Stupid Gamestop didn't have it when I went at around 2pm to pick up Oblivion (they said that they will later on in the day but I was too busy to go back there..)

Might be a good thing though... anyone got it yet? I was wondering if it was worth forking over the 60 bucks, or just gameflying it.

I got Armored Core 4.

It's not for the average gamer, there is an insane amount of customisation involved. Which certainly won't appeal to everyone.

The multi-player is fast paced and action packed, only qualm would be the multi-player maps are not very detailed. But it has little to no latency and incredible framerate partially due to that.

The single player missions are fun but very easy, 90% of them anyway. And the missions are VERY short.

But everyone knows multiplayer is where its at with this game. I simply enjoy the sheer amount of customisation. Took me 2 hours last night to decide on the paint scheme for one of my Schematics(Mech's).

Graphically the Mechs look incredible, they are highly detailed, but the environments could be better, there is noticeable draw-in at a few spots, but overall it's not that bad.

Minor set backs aside, I'd give it an 8 out of 10 partially due to the fact I'm a mech fan, and that the multi-player is such a riot.

As far as recommending it, I'd recommend it only if you're allready a mech fan. If you're not it's probably a rental first before buying. Decent learning curve as well, the main button setup sucks, you'll need to opt for "TYPE B" to have a chance.

The controls are very involving, you're using every fucking button on the controller while using both analogs fulltime, so naturally you need to have all fire buttons on the triggers as opposed to the face buttons. It's not viable to take your thumb off the right analog(aiming analog) and then firing... so the controls take some getting used to for sure.

It's not the best PS3 game out there, but it's no slouch.

When you get tired of Motorstorm, rent AC4.

I wouldn't rush out to buy it unless you're a fan of the series. Or enjoy customising your own Mech and beating on others online at 900 km/h while firing flares to ward off volleys of missles coming at you while sidestepping laser swords all the while taunting your friends.
