I just have one question for you. How can you support two answers for a question having to do with statistics on such a small scale? There cannot be two different odds sets for the same problem. It's like saying "What's the odds of rolling a 6 on a perfectly balanced, 6-sided die?" has two answers - 1 in 6, and 2 in 7. It just doesn't make sense at all. Please, please just stop trying to prove that you are right and math is wrong. It's just not going to happen.

If you honestly did that, you would realize that there is only one right solution to this problem. You are refusing to admit that, thus, you aren't giving our side the amount of thought you claim. You're lying. We're doing all we can (except for my shittalking to you, it probably didn't help) to help you understand this math problem. But you are just thinking about it for 30 seconds, not getting it, and saying "welp I'm still right." Check out the video, read our posts, give it some serious though - you'll see that 1/2 is wrong and 2/3s is right. It's black and white.

hey hey now. all i did was show reasons why the 50% side could be logical. i never said it was right. i do agree with the 2/3. i said that at the very start. i do agree with both sides though (i see where theyre both coming from). this should be in Monty thread but you know what i mean.

Agreeing with both sides is mutually exclusive and makes us wonder if you really understand the 2/3s thing at all. Or if you are just tired of being ragged on.

fine lets remove human error from it. you are elminating door C from the equation once he shows you it. you can NO LONGER choose that option. thats called process of elmination. you know what that is right? in math you can eliminate variables from problems. ok so once C is removed youre left with A and B. now you can choose one of them. thats 1/2 which is also called 50%.

DAMNIT thought i was in Nyna thread. whoops.

the math for the 2/3 is simple. theres nothing hard about it. but when people are all answering different questions. theres reasoning behind each answer. someone needs to change the topic title to the specific question that is being answered.

i will throw one more idea out. just to see what anyone thinks. its prolly wrong but bear with me. what if you broke the problem up into 2 problems. the beginning and end... 1st part would be 1/3 chance we can agree on. suppose now the end is a different problem and there was never this 3rd door and now is just 2 doors. you now have 2/6 and 3/6 answers. would there be anyway to work this?
