this begs the question why SE won't simply sell us a liscence for the JP IME. many players outside of japan speak japanese and while mine is weaker than an indian call center operator's english, i can at least express some basic ideas. when i try, however, i'm stuck using romanji and JP players just point and laugh at the stupid foreigner who can't even type. i know the issue is that they licensed the IME from another company and were paying a per user license fee, but i honestly don't see how it could be more than a few dollars. i'd be willing to drop 3 dollars to be able to type unrestricted w/o GMs being able to use the presence of kanji text in my log as an excuse to ban me. </rant>

You could have course just logged in on a JP client as a guest or because you own the Jp client too and made the message then.

Because, you know, the comment isnt client side and is saved.
