Firefox troubles

Last night, my net crashed out on me, and I have this stupid problem ever since I formatted my vista HD that my wireless connection won't do the repair thing without crashing my computer, but that's beside the point. I turn off the power (held down the off button ; waited 5 seconds and turned it back on.

When I tried to use firefox, it was back with its default settings and all my bookmarks were gone. So this is about 80 odd bookmarks gone that I use everyday. Anybody know how I can revive them?

Windows restore is turned OFF. Learned that from my last computer (viruses can hide in there and can't be zapped lawl)

Look in your Firefox profiles folder, sometimes when it crashes it makes a new profile, but your old stuff would still be there in another profile folder.
Sometimes not, but it's worth checking.

start->run-> firefox.exe -profilemanager

I did this..nothing new happened. To poster above - I found a folder called "profile" in Firefox->Defaults, is this the one you mean? I can't find my old profile in here if so ;;

Found it, there's a ton of bookmark backup files in Docs and Settings->Username->Appdata->Mozzilla, restored from those and got em all back.
