[NEW]Speed Belt/O. Kote/CC/Striders/Serket Ring

Right now, we know that Cassie Earring drops from KS30 Atropos in Horlais Peak. Serket Ring drops from KS30 Lachesis in Waughroon Shrine. By the pattern, assuming that both location and orb are taken into account, the last unaccounted-for item (Speed Belt) should drop from KS30 in Balga's Dais, from the Clotho Orb BC.

This leads us to the Season's Greetings theory. However, Cactor Sauve and Come Into My Parlor are also Clotho from different locations than the first two items. They may be worth looking into.

However, it's possible that SE was only using the location variable, or only the orb variable. There are five potential KS30 locations, and three potential KS30 orbs.

Going by the different-orbs theory, the five Clotho BCs fit the pattern:

Come Into My Parlor - Qu'Bia Arena
Cactor Sauve - Chamber of Oracles
Double Dragonian - Horlais Peak
Copycat - Waughroon Shrine
Seasons Greetings - Balga's Dais

Going by the different-locations theory, nine BCs fit:

Royale Ramble (Lachesis)
Moa Constrictors (Atropos)

Qu'Bia Arena

Come Into My Parlor (Clotho)
E-vase-ive Action (Lachesis)

I personally see the different-orbs theory holding more water (3 items, 3 orbs) but the fact that there are three Beastman strongholds also seems possible. So if I had to guess, I would think it was in a Clotho KS30.

You know, we were complaining about how the KS99 weren't too rewarding, so it might be entirely possible that Speed Belt drops from all 3 of them, just at the same rate as KC in "Up in Arms"

But unfortunately, it'd probably ended up like KC either way, where the rate of Speed Belt entering the market becomes much slower with the supposable "fix".

If it was in SG I would hope someone would have posted some by now, that BC isn't hard at all. Maybe hard by the standard of other KS30, but that's because most are very, very easy.

Just a thought: Another thing supporting Seasons Greetings: King Arthro was in Jugner Forest, an area known for its treants. Also, wasn't King Arthro the first NM to be given the term "HNM" or something? Maybe that would inspire SE to put it in something weird. >_>

Think about it, no one ever makes cursed beverage because Divine Sap is prohibitively expensive. So Square kills two birds with one stone by making Divine Logs into the new dragon talon so now the auction house is practically oozing with Divine Sap and everyone is chugging down Amitra by the gallon!

Speaking of two birds with one stone, I'd say diorite from Enkidus in velug kinda did the same thing. Enabling people to farm while camping another NM who could have potentially been the next Ulli's aery in no time flat if the zone had a GS monopoly.

As for the BCNM/KSNMs I skimmed real quick... does anyone have a strat for divine punishers? Seems to me like it might be a tad complicated?

Well... this is pure speculation... and I don't recall seeing it suggested in the last thread... but since someone said possibly "Cactuar Suave"... but maybe that'd make sense... since one of the 3 is always running around... "Speed" Belt... and what are cactuar known for in most FF games... but their speed to get away >.>

I get that you're trying to be funny, but I think this would be considered moderate derailing.

As for the topic at hand, I did 6 runs at Demolition Squad, the Gigas BC, (rather than Brothers D'Aurphe) today just to see if we could get anything new and nothing. Oh well.

I did 6 @ Royale Ramble 2 weeks ago, nothing. Im going to guess that SE put speed belt in a KS30 @ Balga's Dais. Simply because of what i said in the 1st thread. It seems like SE added 1 HNM drop to a ks30, and a ks99 in each nation.

Also, in the original topic, i said my friend said he had drop in season's greetings and someone commented he knows where it drops and its not there. I dont know if he was telling the truth or not though. If he did know where it dropped, why would he say "it dont drop there", and not tell us? Because he's farming them with friends and don't want people to know. So they might actually drop @ Season's Greetings and he said that so no one tried it until he got a few and sold em.

Btw, my friend was joking about the belt dropping @ seasons greetings, but that dont rule out the fact it might drop there.
