And some might get bored killing the same mob with their linkshell for the 147th time. To some it's not all about the items the mob drops, but the challenge of the fight. I know quite a few people who spend 3 hours staring at darters.. I think i'd prefer fighting seiryu myself...

Speaking of soloing. PLDs out there should go kill avatar primes, its a blast. Did my first one last night, Garuda. If this is something that is done on a regular basis among plds, then I missed it. If not, I think any really good pld can do it.

It's impressive that he or anyone can do this. Marathoning something is mostly about concentration. For instance back in the day I soloed Aquarius as a 63 BST or a BST soloing Ancient Goobbue. The tactics are simple, unimaginitive and highly repetitive but it still does require a certain amount of skill and concentration, mostly when things don't go according to plan.

I don't care so much about the video because quite frankly its pretty boring, like all his solo videos. It's more about the fact that it CAN be done. That fact is pretty cool for me.

It is impressive in the fact that he could stay in his seat for that long... I mean, yeah it's a real hard fight as well, but 3 hours is just too much. If you haven't attempted a bind/dot/nuke solo on some hard NMs, I really wouldn't knock it lol, it's a lot harder than you think. I would prefer the ceremonial daggers over bind/dot though.. More fun to blink tank.

I'm more impressed that a RDM (subbed /NIN) continuously got his Bind to stick on a god for almost an hour, some RDM (with /WHM sub) can't even get it to stick when Seiryu uses Hundred Fists.

Its a marathon fight, but made much much easier with Crimson Legs, Dalmatica, and Chapeau. Don't forget some people in FFXII fight one of the endgame wyrms for 9 hours... and that's with multiple characters.
