On the subject of people getting banned & coming back. I was chatting with a member of a JP HNMLS, and they said, "Everything is getting more common now, the only thing that will remain rare is Ridill because everyone that gets one gets banned...for some reason." As far as I can tell, every round of banstick has gotten rid of at least one NA or EU ridill on Alexander.

With regard to buying another well-geared 75 account, I'm under the impression that the available accounts are getting rarer, or are at least getting more expensive. It could just be because they're no longer blatantly listed on ebay.

Lots of spelling mistakes on my part, but there are lots of wyrms, wyverns, and dragons in FFXI. For the sake of splitting hairs:

Cloud Evoker, Monarch orb, and KSNM99 = Wyrms in staged areas.

Jorgy, Vrtra, Tiamat = Wyrms in non-staged areas

Dragons ('shadow dragon model') = Shadow dragon, Biast, Dynamis-Xarc dragons (including ying & yang), Dhaleks in Mount Z and random assault areas.

Faf & Nid = dragons, but with a different model. There's a low-hp Nid clone in 3 kings limbus.

Wyverns = Guirve, Bune, Ungur, Hurricane wyverns, Vourve, Typhon wyverns, juriks, scoffins, war wyverns.

I'm sure I missed some.

Probably better to make fun of someone's claiming ability by changing it to, "Your LS will never see a red king."

pos hacking is what is getting people banned. claimbotting is simple proliferation that stems from an exceedingly top-heavy population and a flawed area of endgame that can't support it properly, further compounded by the fact that its pretty much undetectable. In other words, until big changes are made, it simply isn't going away and is just the way it is.

Looks like SE is banning both claim bots/hacks as well as POSers. Cheating is cheating and saying its ok because the game is flawed or everyone does it is retarded. If you want to map out Halvang, go walk the area like SE intended.

ok, but the popular claim bots don't circumvent the time you can claim a mob. If people were really getting banned just for run-of-the-mill claimbotting, Remora's endgame population would be decimated and I'm pretty sure the same could be said about many other servers.
