I'm guessing Kwijiboe is talking about having two FFXI sessions open on the same machine.

Cause me & my wife play on two different machines on the same network at my house all the time. There's no way they could tell whether it's two people or just me controlling the two characters without having a spy in my house.

I think its also time to go back and look at key quests and make them anti-RMT. Quests such as Genkai quests, chocobo quests, Airship passes, Zilart quests, to name a few.

What they need to do is make new accounts anti-RMT friendly. WoW uses similar tactics for new accounts by restricting certain activities I believe. E.G. for at least a 2-4weeks you cannot trade or use the delivery box system.

I do this because it makes things a lot easier when you don't have to deal with 2 monitors/keyboards. I checked all my characters and they're all fine.

Isn't it about 6 months since the RMT task force was set up? Maybe they will release server by server stats one day as a proof of service.

No, this is dangerous when they plan to do the server mobility. If there are less bannings in one place RMT may move to that one. Hades already has its fair share for being (from my understanding) the last permenantly created server

When I saw this on POL this morning I was like 'Oh Crap! Maybe I can go solo some Jeuno HNMs with my 2 charectors...'
So I go to Garlaige Citadel, And there's 26 RMTs standing around camping Serket....... (~.~)

In the end I got Serket anyway, But RMT Task force fails at banning Midgard's Jeuno HNM Gilfarmers.
(I have a router 2 PS2's and a PC, And here's a SS of a bunch of angry gilfarmers watching me kill Serket)

First, make it so only the one lich in each of the two first gate rooms can drop the papyrus. That way, people are forced to camp there and kill only those two liches. Then, after that update, have a SMN go tag the liches with Carby, then go hide in the deepest darkest corner of Eldieme where hopefully no one will ever find them. Assuming it can't outdamage Carby's auto-regen, you can just leave it overnight.

Of course, the hard part is getting SE to make that change, since the Zammers wouldn't want them to nerf papyrus or else they'll never be able to pass genkai 1.

None of my LS who heavily multibox (2 accounts running on 2 instances) got LM-Anything. I guess they did something a lil bit more ;p

I would think the RMT would already have the statistics on how many of them get banned from various servers. They are a business, afterall. The farmers may be clueless sweatshop workers, but the guys managing the business are probably savvy enough to keep track of that sort of thing.

I hope they do some kind of economy patch in the near future. I don't mean to sound cheap but 100k a week for limbus burns a hole in my pocket. I imagine it being worse for people who do limbus + a split run dynamis ls.

Agreed. With plummeting coin prices and general deflation, 50k per run seems more and more expensive. Dynamis as well...

Making 50k isnt really all that hard. You can do it just farming crappy mobs and npcing all the drops. Shouldnt take more then an hour either.

I do really wonder how far off doing stuff like that is from being a very good way to make money though. 3 months? 9 months?
