I live 10 min from work, so I just started the download over lunch.

I just use VNC (http://www.realvnc.com) from work into my home pc's, and queue up the download to start during lunch time that way its done updating by the time I get home. Pretty easy to setup a remote admin for your home PC, whether you use MS Remote Desktop or VNC.

Do you install this on your home pc? work pc? both? If its home pc onry that is awesome but they dont allow downloading of programs on our work pc's here and they enforce it heavily... If you need to install on work pc I guess im SoL

You install the server on your home pc, and generally a client on the pc you wish to connect from. However, there is an option to allow connection through web browsers.

But yes, I think he means EDT.

this would work great until my office block all ports and leaving me with a computer without admin access

VNCs seem to be the best option, but some of them dont work with DirectX apps.
