I have no idea why it wasn't chosen as first; its really exquisite.

Personally I think hers and the one wafik posted were the most 'artistic' ones of the bunch, on the next pages the shiva, mithra thf, and naja pictures are very nice too..

The first few images on the page including the winner i don't really care for, 'cute' shouldnt be bonus points or anything. Then again I did see someone here post an elv drawing that i didn't see in the finalists so who knows what else we missed.

Can you ask your friend what media they used? I'm guessing watercolour, but armor looks so precise.

Looks like a drawing entirely in photoshop or some other digital format.

I also didn't think the "Crystal" winner was very good. Cute sure, but I thought this was supposed to be an Art Contest, not a cute contest.
