There is too much exceptional art and too many exceptional artists that didnt get picked by SE to let slip by. Tell your friends now, we will end up having probably three different catergorys and work out a nice reward for the winner of each. I need to talk to some of the artist people in BG to get their input on judging and such, so get to drawing.

Is there going to be a photoshop category for non-hand drawn art (i.e. not just a screenshot with a filter or two, but something a bit more in depth that shows your ability to use photoshop in ways not many can in order to make something unique).

I was thinking something more along the lines of what LW might make, or those "real world Vana'diel" pics that one guy made with Tiamat in the Grand Canyon, rather than someone who downloaded Photoshop 20 minutes ago and already made a submission.

Check out http://www.worth1000.com sometime, there's some pretty impressive things on there. Of course, lens flares are among them, but the judges tend to filter those out before it ever gets put up for voting.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and in a technical and literal sense they are never *wrong* HOWEVER that does not exlude them from the realm of misinformed or poorly gathered.

To be critical of the drk picture for having cliche white vampire/necromancer skin is not an opinion, it is an incorrect interpretation of the medium. The picture is in 3 colors. Just like Humphrey Bogart wasn't a fucking undead in any black and white movies, it doesn't mean that the picture being discussed is such. Black, white, red. Those are the colos being used.

If I were you, and I had like...no clue at all what the fuck I was talking about and if I were, like you, just being an argumentative bitch for the sake of it but quickly realizing that my train of thoughts were rapidly heading for the cliff of logical fallacy I too would stop discussion.

Somehow, though, I think you'll do that annoying thing where you say you won't talk about it anymore about 5 times while you keep responding to everything that is said.
