it might be the weapon's damage problem. It seems like the weapon's D is limited your damage even thought you got high base attack value. I have tried to PL my char with brd minuets x 2 and get to 300 base attack, but still I can only hit like 10-20damage on those tough monster at lvl 20s range only.

so.. need some one test out the correlation between weapon's damage and base attack chart

I'm not sure if that's it, compare knives on thf to katanas on nin - let's say somewhat optimal blau (d. 33) vs. Senjuinrikio (d. 38). Thf has no problems exploiting +attack to increase overall DoT and WS damage, despite having a lower base d. weapon (both thf & nin are both A- skill wise on dagger/katana respectively).

I'll let one of the more learned folks on melee stats chime in here on why sushi overall makes more sense for ninja, but the basics as I understand it is that piling on more attack for ninja does not yield drastically increased DoT/WS damage as compared to sushi.

THF has homam and can stack haste% without worrying about ACC loss is my guess on the matter.

Homam is a huge boon to meat builds on thf, but not by any means necessary...it just helps, a lot.

One important thing to consider is that the faster your attack speed, the more important +fSTR is to your overall damage. This is why weapons with lower dmg/delay beat weapons with longer delay--instead of getting 38 base damage from a senj, you're actually getting 43-45 because of high strength. This is why U/U is anywhere relevant to endgame merits: you trade some base damage for more frequent application of your fSTR. Sushi builds *tend* to pack more strength than meat builds, but absolutely as your base damage/delay increases, you want to be using meat to push up the damage multiplier instead of the damage base.

As for Stellar's claim that sole > curry with minx2, mad, march, you probably at cap or extremely near for both atk AND acc against puks, so the build with more fSTR would win, probably the sole sushi build.

Instead of getting 2 minuets, go 2 marches for more haste.
