RPGFFX-FFXII are great game and Xeno series is pretty good if you like deep story, despite gameplay being not amasing

Disgaia 1 was great, one of the funniest game ever made(Conker Bad fur day still win), it's also a decent tactical RPG. Shadow Heart 2 is awesome too if you can find it somewhere, story is nice, gameplay is decent and dialogue are pretty funny.


StarOcean 3 had an amasing story and gameplay was sweet too. Tales of the abyss isnt bad either (so far, playing it atm)


Action game

No one mentioned it (please God, forgive them), but Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 are a must for any gamer.

Devil May cry 1 and 3 (start with 3, if you like it, try 1) for stylish action game, really challenging too on hardest mode

Ok first off for the guy who asked, yes I do have a PS1. I have every system from atari 2600 on up except for ps3, 360, cube, colecovision, atari 5200 and neo geo 8)

Marvel vs Capcom 2 and MGS2 I have on the X-Crate, so no real need to rebuy those. As much as I love the MGS series, Raiden pissed me the hell off to no ends, whiny friggin bitch. SC2 i played the hell out of on my friends cube, so no real drive to get that. How was Soul Calibur 3 though? I'll also be picking up Tekken Tag as that's probably my favorite out of the series.

Guitar Hero 1 & 2 I will probably pick up. Probably be the closest i'll ever get to playing the guitar for real. Can you skip some of the songs though? Cause i'd rather run a cheese grater over my face then have to listen to War Pigs, by far my least favorite Sabbath/Ozzy song.

Katamary can die. I got so bored from that game.

played virtua fighter against my brother for a while, very fun if you have opponents, otherwise don't bother.

You mentioned fighting games and RPGs but i saw ppl mention a lot of action games (i.e. DMC, GoW) so the obvious one people haven't yet mentioned are the GTAs.

CVS2 for PS2 is probably the best version other than the dreamcast one. its probably my favorite one.

I believe third strike is on ps2 also, but i always played it on my dreamcast.

Yeah I remember my room mate tried to get a copy of Marvel vs Capcom 2 last year.. He ended up having to pay like 80$ for it on Amazon.com or something.. But I've heard other friends who are still trying to get it.. and copies were selling for like 150$+

I still have mine for good ol' dreamcast.
