So someone explain this to me: (Computer Help)

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820220161

I got this RAM. I'm looking to match it up with a motherboard that won't throttle the RAM speed, but I have no idea how to do the conversion. What kind of motherboard would match up well with DDR2 1066?

And how would I know if it's even compatible? I know this is kinda noobish for what I'm looking to do, but that's the last point that's bugging me before I go ahead, all the other compatabilities on my system check out.

To throttle the speed (overclocking for speed, underclocking for stability). On the fly, you can't do it, there are programs but that allow you to do it but it's dangerous.

To answer your question, Just look for motherboards that support DDR2 and check the spec. There is an river of them by now.

Oh, I meant like the DDR2 standard on a motherboard would be 800MHz would that limit my RAM to 800MHz? From your response I'm guessing the answer is "No."

Correct. The standard speed is that but you can easily overclock it to perform faster.

    Just be careful.
