CT/CC or FF?

Which do you like better the Chrono series or the FF series? I personally like the Chrono series ALOT better because of the playability with combination moves and the story line seems more interesting for me.

Also in the Chrono Cross if you beat lavos with only Serge (I think thats his name?) and go into the easter egg room thing they say they were making a sequel for PS2 which never got released anyone know what happened? D:

Chrono Series= 3 games if you count Radical Dreamers.
Final Fantasy series= Over 30 games.

Back in the past, Chrono would win easily. It had awesome story, music, gameplay and graphic for its time. Comparing new generation FF to Chrono Trigger would be...unfair to some extent. They are in completly different category, and you can't really compare both style.

I liked Chrono cross, but it was imo inferior to other FF game. The only strong point about it was the awesome soundtrack, but thats about it. Story was weak overall minus the cutscene in the "lost time sea", and final sequence. The world wasn't as deep as the one in Chrono Trigger, and there was way too much backtracking.

On a game by game basis, Chrono Trigger is one of my absolute favorite games. However, Chrono Cross was a pretty big disappointment to me, so series VS series I'm gonna have to go with FF.

Chrono Cross DID have a really good soundtrack though.

I don't understand why so many people think CC is a bad game. It wasn't much of a sequel, but it was still a solid game. The only things I didn't like about it were: the small world, the fact that there were 40 party members, and the auto-level system.

The game was beautiful and the music was amazing. I used to sit in the boat on the world map and turn up the volume so I could listen to that music while doing my homework. I don't know, maybe it was a bad game, I haven't played it in 5 yrs, maybe I'm just blinded by nostalgia.

I remember getting all 10+ endings in CT using New Game +.

I also remember buying CC and not getting more than 4 hours into it.

idk what is so bad about CC...I personally loved it and thought that CC has one of the best soundtracks out, still.

CC was good back in the day... maybe even better.

But unless a new game comes out fo rthe series, you can't really compare it with the insane CGIs of SE heh...plus the final 3 FFs (not including lolffxi) were actually fun.

CC just wasn't compelling at all. CT was great in part because you knew each character pretty well and could give a damn about them. Playing CC you had like 3-4 characters that were interesting, but with no backstory, and then you had the other 35+ that just flat-out sucked.

I tried 2-3 times to get into CC and finish it, but the farthest I ever got was to the part where you get to play as Lynx. I also agree that there was too much retreading of the same areas, like that Fort Draconia or w/e.

So the definition of a series is defined by what you're comparing it to? Bullshit. Yes, its not as long as FF, but it still is a series of games.
