What do you even mean by a "main" series? A series is just a sequence of things that share linked characteristics. Does this mean that The Melancholy of Haruhi Suziyama is not a "series" because it is massively dwarfed by the retardedness that is Naruto?

as much as i don't want to say it, i really don't think the chrono games can quite qualify as a franchise or a series, simply because there weren't enough games out to justify calling it that. also, the fact that the other two games were so horribly received or not very well known.

final fantasy is definitely a series, hell, kingdom hearts is more a of a series than chrono trigger, it had more games, more publicity, and more games are on the way... a fair poll would have been something like FF vs DQ.

I think that if theres 3 or more games with the same name then yes it can be called a series. DMC is considered a series. But God Of War isnt. So yeah i think we can all agree that 3 would be the magic number.

I don't understand why so many people think CC is a bad game. It wasn't much of a sequel, but it was still a solid game. The only things I didn't like about it were: the small world, the fact that there were 40 party members, and the auto-level system.

The game was beautiful and the music was amazing. I used to sit in the boat on the world map and turn up the volume so I could listen to that music while doing my homework. I don't know, maybe it was a bad game, I haven't played it in 5 yrs, maybe I'm just blinded by nostalgia.

For a lot of us, 40 party member is a big turn off. First of all, there is like 20 of them who are ugly, useless and uninteresting. That wouldnt be a problem if other character were developped well, but because there was too many, they all lacked somethin. Starky, Neofio and Pip were made of win tho, cutest team ever!

That said, the main cast and the story when you ignore the sidestory is pretty good, it's just too short. Harle was great (and cute), same with great. Serge was decent, but silent hero should be avoided imo.

am i fucking retarded or do i remember harle betraying you in CC? maybe im thinking of that chick who was the Joker's sidekick in that cartoon series.

and does anyone remember that cunt rag of a boss in CC? that sphinx? you had to cast the correct element on it in order to advance when it gave you a riddle (almost spelled that "ridill")? i could never get the correct one.

Harle was the 8th dragon, and she had no choice but to join with other. However, she loved Serge iirc, and didn't want to do what she was about to do. If I remember correctly, she also told you how to defeat the Time devourer or something, been a while tho.

There was also a cute scene between her and starky (the alien) on the ship where she was crying, and Starky asked her "Why is there water flowing out of your eyes?". I thought that scene was cool.

And yeah, i remember the sphinx. I dont remember having trouble with it tho. Was he a secret boss?

You can kill him by wearing the yellow plate and having 1 character immune to all of his attacks. It's a long ass fight, because he kills everyone else in a single turn. He drops some badass sunglasses if you kill him that way <3.

A plot twist like this with the "silent hero" is just weird lol. It was nice, but the guy had absolutely no reaction after the bad guy swap body with you.

I enjoyed the extremely complex and vague plot, i suppose thats why i always enjoyed the stories of ff8 and 9. man i'd love to see another chrono game
