Made this using a similar style, it looks good, probably bit too bright, since I had to throw a white > black gradiant to even it out and brighten up my char a bit.

i may just be too sleepy but when u fade the gaussian blur, you say to switch it from normal to overlay, but your following pics are as if you stayed on normal?, when i followed the instructions and did overlay49%~ and tried to crop and then merge, nothing happened >.>

i just put em to a lower setting so it wasnt noticeable. its not always gonna be around 50% it can be anywhere from 8-80% its all on your prefereance. but thats strange nothing happened. if you can PM, me the pics and show me step by step what your doing. Im sure its no big deal


@rai: i actually did the little individual blending with the light with the dodge/burn tool. Your SS turned out great
After you get used to it, this peocess literally takes 1-2 min max. I can make it look better with the polygonal lasso tool ect, but im too lazy for that shit man <_<

sidenote: i used photoshop CS2 lol. i too, use the extremely long trial version lol
