    Question about gilt tapestry

Is it true that you have to have earth energy in your moghouse to gain benefit of the +1 clothcraft skill? I currently have lightning energy for desynths, so I wasn't sure if I this had an effect or not.

The only thing that matters is whether or not you have Moghancement: Clothcraft. You will need a dominance of earth energy for this to happen.

Are there any sites that I can be directed to that will show me some "Feng Shui" for all the mog enhancements? I've been looking around for a bit and haven't found any.

I'm mostly looking for Furniture combinations that will not remove my 8 mannequins, 4 armoires. My Noble's Bed, Commode, and Adv. Certificate can go though.

It really depends what moghancement you're trying for though, as to whether you can keep that stuff in.

(Your moghancement comes from the highest strength item of the dominant element in your house)

Oh man that's awesome, I just need a Marble Bed instead of a Noble's to nullify my Mogenhancement. Giving me no mogenhancement and being able to add my Clothcraft GP 150k item when I get it for ME: Clothcrafting!

    Thanks!!! :D

Yea, I had to totally revamp my moghouse to get my Mog Enhancement : Clothcraft. I had that gilt tapestry for like 8 months until I finally realized I wasn't getting the right enhancement from it: I had to take out 2 of my mannequins, all my storage units, and then craft myself earth element stuff, I used Caisson's (2x chestnut lumber, 2x bronze sheet) because I could craft them and they are the highest storage earth energy items I could find. I lost about 30 storage spots, but finally got strong earth (I think) and mogenhancement: Clothcraft. Kinda sucks now that I hve 2 mannequins just sitting in my moghouse unequipped.

I thought I could achieve max storage and get the mogenhancement I wanted but I skimmed through the page that was posted above my previous post and didnt fully read the wall-o-text. Anyways, my assumption was since I had the following.

    Armoire x4 Water STG:5 ES:16
    Mannequin x8 Light STG:7 ES:6
    Commode x1 Water STG:4 ES:16
    Noble's Bed x1 Lightning STG:1 ES:12
    Adv. Cert x1 Light STG:1 ES:3

    Mogehancement: Fishing since I have Water:80 Light:51 and Lightning:12

I thought that all I needed to do was replace my Noble's Bed with a Marble Bed since it has STG:1 ES:16 Fire, but that won't change the overwhelming Water energy. I somehow need to nullify the Water:80 with more Light. I'll start working on that now because I know lots of people that have my same storage units that would like to keep them and also a mogenhancement of their choice.

Edit: hmm If I change my Noble's to Mahogany I'll have:

    Water:80 Light:61

Remove the Commode for a White Jar then I'll have:

    Water:64 Light:66

    Giving me a total of (Mannequins x8 = 56 + Armoire x4 =20) 76 + (Mahogany Bed x1 and Adv.Cert x1 = 2) 78 + (White Jar x1 = 2) 80 Spaces of Storage with 66 (Light) and 64 (Water). This should give me Mogenhancement:Light on paper. Going to try it out in a couple hours when I sell some stuff.

Reading this over, I'm a bit confused on it.

They each provide 2 strength of Water element, which means that there would be 6 Water and 6 Fire element in his Mog House. When there is no dominant element, it's too confusing to obtain anything; the character wouldn't receive any Moghancement at all, since there isn't a dominant element. If he added one more Armor Box, for a total of 4 Armor Boxes and 1 Cupboard, there would now be a dominant Water element (8 Water and 6 Fire element total.) The Armor Box provides the Fishing Moghancement, so the character would now receive that instead of the Moghancement: Fire.
Since in my example above I would have 66 Light and 64 Water, it's obvious that I would have Light:ME. My question that I'm confused is: Would I have 2 Light energy in my moghouse, or is it still 66 Light energy? Reason I ask is because if it's 2 Light energy, then inserting the Gilt Tapestry into my Layout would give me 9 Earth, or rather 9-2 = 7 Earth energy being faint but still giving Clothcraft:ME.

Be happy that cloth is something easy like earth. Moghancement:leather requires ice energy. You know how much non-rare/ex moghancement:ice stuff there is? Two items. Two very big, very ugly items (a bed and a big-ass screen).
