I've never heard of these before. The trailer looks awesome. But I'm confused. Are there 3 movies or are they re-releasing "Day Watch" in english?

imdb says "Day Watch" came out in Jan. 2006 but the trailer says June 2007.

They're Russian movies. The first two movies of the trilogy have been out in Russia for years, but Fox is financing the third and spending additional millions producing a north american release.

The first movie was a pretty big phenomenon in Russia (think Star Wars for russkies) and has a huge following over there.

i saw the first Russia export in english dub, and it wasn't bad. hopefully this US remade doesn't suck with overblown CGIs.

I've seen both movies, some smaller dvd rental places can import the second one already. They're both very good, the second one took a very different turn from the first.

The third one will be called Dusk Watch, no idea what the russian name will be.

I have read and seen Nightwatch, great book imho, and the film was pretty damn interesting as well. Nice to see that they are finally getting #2 over here, just hope the 2nd book gets translated soon also.
