Chocobo Racing 27/03/07

I loved Chao Racing in Sonic Adventure 2, so I have a feeling I'll like this. Now all I need to do a raise a good chocobo (since my last one's stats were all poor lol)

Chocobo racing can't possibly revive the novelty of Chocobo Breeding right? I mean, we already know ALL the items/rewards/benefits of it, and we can judge that it won't be as fun as sitting scratching your left ass-cheek awaiting Fafnir for hours, right?

Performing well in these races will earn you gil or VCS-mint chocobucks, which can be used to purchase items or services that will assist you in breeding.

(Oh and, as I said the chocobo breeding rewards will revive interest in it in general)

Ive said it a million times but looks like most still dont get it. If the majority of players dont enjoy something in the game, its not because there is something wrong with those players, its because something is wrong with the content. If the content isnt attracting people or getting people excited, its a big fail. There is nothing gayer than the people who try to turn their interest in a new event into some kind of special virtue. I can promise you, per capita more players do any other event in the game other than camp hnms, otherwise youd be seeing like 1000 people in the zone by now. Plenty of people do besieged/ballista etc. Plenty of people will be doing chocobo racing, and plenty of people will say chocobo racing is gay and find other things to do, like merit, assault, salvage, dynamis, limbus, sea, sky, level another job, craft. Get over yourself and quit being so butthurt by other peoples lack of interest.

Why bother pointing out gil as a reward and then say it's going to be a trivial amount. I find HNM to be a snore just like raising chocobos.

I'm sure there will be a few people that care but it sure seems like a ton of development time for something that (in the grand scheme of things) is rather pointless. And by pointless I mean even more so that most other things in the game.

How about spending some of those priceless Choco development cycles on actually finishing off the Adventuring Fellows? You remember those, right? The little guys that can't lock all their armor slots at once, can't be called in 1/2 of the areas of the game, and are still capped at level 65.

When people don't give a crap about Chocobo breeding, it's not by giving reward for more Chocobo breeding, that will make it any less retarded.

One thing I'd find fun to do, is just make the god damn Tetra Master playable from FFXI while lfg or camping stuff, collect all cards, make a sort of championship, but not something stupid like Brenner.

If, when its implimented, it sucks ass then I don't think anyone will have an issue admitting it.

Most people who shoot these ideas before the updates even happened (and lets be honest, this happens on here EVERY update) are those who simply find no enjoyment in the game if theres no hard reward involved. Having fun is a waste of time in comparison to obtaining loot, it seems.
