Hello Sept, is it painful to know me and you share the same view on this matter?

ppl complain about the littlest thing :-\\
I'm looking forward to this, my 8/7/3/1 Canter/Gallop green chocobo is gonna beat the shit out of everyone.
Unless someone on Sylph has an 8/8 second gen Canter/Gallop...
I wonder how much I can overcharges the dyes for if you get it from winning races and is not rare/ex...
Meh, guess I will give raising another chocobo a shot. Both of my other ones ended up Black, but I ignored them so their stats sucked. *ducks for cover*
Summer, 2007: Player vs. player races, betting
Fall/Winter, 2007: New official races, practice races (player vs. player)
2008: Final official races
wow not finished fully until 2008 o.O
It'll be interesting to see what racing is like on Wednesday, before they add Player vs Player races, betting, private practice races, etc.Originally Posted by Lordender
Wonder if they'll also add a Player vs NPC racing option at some point too.. though probably not until 2009, at this rate.
I thought what we're getting tomorrow is the player vs. npc one? If not, who are we supposed to be racing against?
Either way, I'm looking forward to what this will be like. If it ends up being worthless, so be it, but I'll at least try it once or twice with one of my two black chocobos.
Its called "Solo Racing", and will be identical to riding your chocobo anywhere else in the game, except without actually going anywhere.Originally Posted by Evelyn

"Mission-style" races could be anything. It's too ambiguous.Originally Posted by Evelyn
For all we know, it could be like Assault and you have to run around pecking posts in different parts of the map before time runs out, and if you succeed, you win 10 chocobucks to trade in for a San d'Orian carrot.
I bought it because I wanted to spend a week straight at one NM and still be at 0/20, and even with TH4, still get no drop.Originally Posted by Siatdiat

Go go Cactrot Rapido.
however, the free run refers to "placing". In horse racing, that means getting in the top 3 in a given race. So I'm extrapolating (could be wrong, but I hope not) that missions will have similar situations, where you're racing to get a certain placement againt npc riders.
How much better could the game be if you could fire ranged weapons while mounted on Chocobos, like Orcarina of time?Originally Posted by BRP
It'd be win, to a degree. Then we'd see Eagle Eye Shots off Chocobo back
I didn't realize people are still clinging to the "for your $12.95/month" reasons. I thought they made it clear that this was not the case when they started banning POS users monthly.Originally Posted by Sykes
They make more money when they buy new copies of FFXI and start a new account. If you get banned on the 15th and get a half-month pro-rate, then start a new account on the same day, and pay for the 2nd half of the month, SE still gets the whole monthly bill plus a box sale.Originally Posted by Miji
Now, if they banned thousands of accounts monthly and they stayed banned, then SE would be losing a lot of money.
But since when did RMT stay banned?
Its win/win for Square/players regardless. Square gets extra money out of the deal, the players get a few weeks of peace while the GS level up new characters. Its not a bad deal as long as they continually ban.Originally Posted by Khamsin
