so... all of Windurst, East Saurtabaruta and Bastok abandoned vana'diel to me ... well .. atleast untill I relogged and it fixed everything.

well, the fish only turned upside down in protest of the broken beetle foot. it vowed to never turn over until SE finally helped the poor beetles. years later, it's still swimming upside down, waiting for the day when beetle rights are acknowledged and beetle feet everywhere can all point the right way!
