Carect Ring? I think that drops off of Stubborn Dredvodd, but have never even seen the ring, let alone the NM, so take that with a pinch of salt.

Oh, it exists. Every time someone sees me wearing it, they ask me where I got it. As near as I can figure the NM attacks the route from Southern Landing to Sandy once per RL day, so it takes a lot of luck. I also got a Tathlum Belt, but I still have no idea how that's supposed to be useful...

From my experience in camping Stubborn Dredvodd, his window is much larger than 24 hours or it is completely random. I have a Carect Ring now so I will never ever have a reason to ride that stupid barge again.

One thing about Nidhogg is that he randomly does that SP animation and puts his wings up. He hits for a decent amount more, and has some kind of damage reduction. Nid/Faf always gave the same XP IIRC... This might be silly... but would a good test be using a signet staff on a job with no innate staff skill, and spam SA normal hits? You should see a general trend at the 1.0 pdif mark right?

EDIT: Just thought about this... I know avatars have the damage cap... do beast jug pets work the same way? Anyone with a high level beast able to pop some jug pets and hit some easy stuff to see if crit + damage cap are the same (and if they follow the same pattern of a possible 4.0 pdif.)

Hm.. Fafnir and Nidhogg do always give 80 xp to a full alliance, as someone mentioned earlier, as well. Yet, there is level variation.

It could be, perhaps, that 800 xp is the max capped base experience for a mob? Since alliance xp is base x 1.8 / # of people in alliance, that would mean both Fafnir and Nidhogg always give 800 xp, which could be some sort of cap regardless of the level of the mob.

That would explain why people always get the same xp.

I have a carect ring also and boy was it a pain to get. I would ride the boat when I get home from work for a couple hours (at a time I had no ls). Took like 3 months. Zoredonite ring was a pain too. I really like keeping my hp

Carect ring is super rare. I've only seen it once and tried camping for many weeks with no luck of even seeing the NM
