Anywas back to the thread before the "gtfo w/private server" subject reflares.

This just seems like a empty server, nothing else. A server simply for non-BETA purposes. For events, etc. I would think a server to test new content would be completely seperate, would require more content to download, and would be used on a daily/weekly basis (assuming the dev team is always working on new things)

I'm pretty sure the GMs modified Atomos for us royale contestants, being that the AHs in jeuno where untargetable.

That's really weird, because there's tons of entries on the Auction House history of people selling things like Speed Belts to themselves, I figured it was the Royale Contestants. Maybe it was from the first Royale with the Japanese players.

well, if any of the names are:
Barlog, Seraphy, Slayer, Suteki, Rael, Yosyua, Majin, Tubame, (I'll get back to you with the other two members) those are the JP siren team, so if any of those names match up, probably was from the first royale.

If you want to pull your PS2 SSs to your PC. Log in the PS2 and there should be a file checker in POL. You can view your pics there. Then you can email them to yourself. The biggest drawback is you can only email 5 pics at once.

idk when they changed it but you can now mail more then 5 at once. I didnt test how many but i definitely sent myself 8 not more the 5 minutes ago.

Just go to the amateur section and post this to get the "Why not?" instead of trying to derail this to server privatization.

Anyways to this. Taj, what do you think they will do? Sweep accounts or ban them as they see them pop up? You think you could keep smuggled accounts on the server just to spy on events in the future or to fuck around if we can come up with something clever to have you do?

Because it doesn't look promising? It's a bunch of thirteen year olds with absolutely no talent that got together and decided "You know what, we're going to make a private server for FFXI." So they sat on their asses for two years and waited for someone to happen along and do the work so they could take credit for it. And someone did happen along. And once they realized they were the only one contributing to the project, and that was never going to change, they stopped working on it. Notice how the last committed revision is like four months ago.

Mm, I don't remember the AHs when I was on Atomos for Royale. I either recall checking one and every item was "No Applicable Entries," or it was untargetable.

However, if I wanted to buy you know, Silver Mail or anything, I had all those NPCs just waiting to sell me crap for too much money.

Wish I'd been gutsy enough to Teleport somewhere, but I didn't want to get in trouble.

Of course the most fun was after the match, when we were all giving our stuff to players on the other team, or trading them all our money, or throwing away rare/ex, but I lost all those screenshots when I reformatted.
