Found some more avatars..these are better imo
Those are pretty cool (although I prefer the hand drawn one as an artist =P) but as usual, Roxas is the odd one out. That bastard never likes to conform.
I'm having trouble with the ES... finally got my silver crown last night (for beating all 13 org. member rematches), but for some reason every time I start a battle with the ES he starts off with a different ability, which makes it very hard to try and do what apaul did with his video (where he just kept dodging the exact same move over and over again for the entire fight)... anyone got a clue wth he was doing to make the ES keep repeating the same move? For me, he almost always starts off with that big keyblade gun where he sends out a huge energy ball at you (that if deflected back at him, will blow up on him and make him groggy, which lets you get a couple of combos in, but other than that I can't avoid his moves.)
for me, it took just a lot a lot of practice, but now it is easy to dodge his moves. Just figure out ways to block/evade them as they come, it's a lot easier than trying to copy him perfectly.
Oh I didn't try to copy him move by move, just tried to make the ES do that 3-hit move where he spams a keyblade ability in the air at the end of it, at which point he just falls to the ground from up high and you can hit him... I just couldn't produce that ability no matter what I tried doing.
And yeah I guess it will take practice, just like most of the org. rematches (hi2u Roxas and hi2u2 Xaldin and Vexen).
BTW, call it cheating or not, but I decided to go with the Wisdom form>>Firaga spammage for Vexen, and the spear spamming on Xaldin, because there was just no other way I was going to beat them otherwise.
I killed Xemnas on my first try though, easiest fight ever...
Ugh, so tired of getting so close to killing him but ending up dying.
I have brought him down to his last 4 hp bars for the past maybe... 5 runs in a row, but then I keep dying to that ridiculous move at the end (which I dodge a few times before I actually mess up the guarding for some reason... I have no idea what i'm doing wrong, because I do it right every other time and it looks exactly the same..)
SIGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ;;
EDIT: For the love of god, I needed 1 combo to kill him and he kills me instead... so fucking unfair.
FUCK YES, killed him in an almost perfect run.
yayyyyyyyyy gold crown. :D
What exactly do the crowns do? Look spiffy?
Eeeeeexactly.
Bronze is to show that you killed the Org. mushrooms, Silver to show you defeated all the Org. Data Rematches, and Gold to show that you've beaten the ES.
Game finally came in today. Critical Mode is a blast, though I am oddly doing better on Roxas's part on Critical than I did on Proud. Can't play too much cause I have finals this week.![]()
I only have one oddity though. A majority of the time, my Swap magic disc gives a Disc Read error. If i press down on the flip top though, it usually works in 1-2 tries. Think this will have negative consequences in the future or am I just being paranoid? (I broke my PS2 moments after installing the flip top last week. Took 5 hours to take the system apart, find that the Reset/Eject cord got pulled out, put it back in and put stuff back together. Everything runs fine luckily.)
Just make sure all 3 pieces are in place... every time i'm about to play my ps2 with a game that requires swap magic, I press the 1st and 3rd pieces down just to make sure (I also put tape over them to ensure they're holding them down), and make sure the 2nd piece still holds strong in its place before I load the cds.
Have had swap magic and kh2:fm for a few weeks now, and it the game would stop spinning during the middle of a boss fight or after one/before saves, which pissed me off, so I just ensured that I put all the pieces right and found out that the 1st piece wasn't even pressing down the way it was supposed to. Once I fixed that, I never had a cd give me an error/stop spinning in the middle of gameplay, so just ensure they're all in place (a couple of websites will help you with that, with pretty good pictures.)
Fat PS2 Flip top, not magic keys lol. And it runs games fine (did a whole play through of KH1 on expert for the hell of it after I changed the case), its just booting up Swap magic that needs the press down on the cover.Originally Posted by Exoduso
Oh well, with the fat ps2 you don't want to use the slide tool because it will fuck the tray up lol.. flip top is the way to go, so you're okay as far as that's concerned.
I'm not sure how it all works on the fat ps2 as mine died of FFXI syndrome >.>
I think i'm going back to Re:CoM now, I really feel like playing it on Proud and redo all the vids now that I actually know how the system works lol.
Basically you remove the top part of the disc cover and replace the old PS2 top with a new once that has the flip top on it. It doesn't seem to do as good of job pressing down on the disc, but it works fine as far as games go. Only the Swap Magic disc seems to need extra pressure to work. I might need to make the screws on the casing tighter, but the side is bucking a little alreadyOriginally Posted by Exoduso

You sure it's not defective?
And yeah, maybe you want to take it out completely and reinstall it, since it's just replacing the top case... maybe you put it with a slight tilt by mistake, and then when you screwed it in it messed up the effectiveness of the cover.
I doubt its defective since it still works, but its probably a good idea to reinstall it. I'll try that tomorrow. Thanks :DOriginally Posted by Exoduso
