Haha, agreed totally :D For some reason a lot of people underrate FF8's OST. I find it amazing, and I dont even like Nobuo Uematsu's works compared to other composers (Masashi Hamauzu ftw, Yasunori Mitsuda as 2nd coolest, Hitoshi Sakimoto as 3rd). I love all versions of Balamb Garden and Blue Field themes, the arranged, piano and original ingame one. Really worth listening over and over.Originally Posted by dekamii
Yuki kajiuara is one of my favorite composer after Mitsuda. Did .hack music, XS2 and 3. (and many anime )(Masashi Hamauzu ftw, Yasunori Mitsuda as 2nd coolest, Hitoshi Sakimoto as 3rd).
I have to agree. I fell in love with Clash on the Big Bridge the first time I heard it. For the longest time my favorite was FFVI's Decisive Battle (especially the Black Mages' version) before I had fought Gilgamesh for the first time.Originally Posted by Huggo
If shit hits the fan ingame, I usually light up CotBB or FFIII's The Rocking Grounds.
FF7 by far
@Waffles: which is dancing mad?

Yeah thats about sums it upOriginally Posted by Dark Vincent
Dancing Mad, mostly the first part when you fight the first statue, and the last part when you face Kefka.
FFIX: Necron Battle.
I think 7 has the best individual themes = Aeris, Cloud, Turks, Jenova, One Winged.
I think 9 had some great songs that matched their event perfectly = Beatrix, certain areas' music just perfectly matched it.
In terms of overall OST, I'd have to go 8 though. Balamb, opening music, closing music, and some of the themes just nail it.
THe kefka portion of Dancing Mad is a personal fave.
Not so much a game or boss music but alot of Advent childrens fight music was good too >_>
Also, I have to agree with the music for the Hunt in FFIX, always enjoyed that part of the game.
Gilgamesh theme song for the win! I cant recall, but did he have that same music in FFXII as well?
Yeah he did. Was very nostalgic for me.Gilgamesh theme song for the win! I cant recall, but did he have that same music in FFXII as well?
FFVI: Normal Boss (don't know name)
FFV: Battle on the Bridge (Gilgamesh theme)
FFVI: Aria Di Mezzo Caratterre
FFVII: Normal Boss (mega win will always be good), JENOVA theme, Sephiroth last fight theme.
FFVIII: Normal Boss music and I don't know the song, but track 8 of the first CD. it plays this song when you're attacking Dollet in the beginning, and when the huge Garden war starts (I seriously LOVE that part of the game, major fucking win). Also, this has the best chocobo music of any game, imo
FFIX: Beatrix Theme (not the piano version, but the one that plays when you are defending Alexandria). The Terra planet theme song is really awesome too.
FFX: Not too many epic songs in this one, other than the summon battle at the very end where ya fight them all. I really REALLY liked that one. There are a lot of other "relaxing" type songs in this one I like too.
FFX-2: Hmmm... not a very good sound track, but there was a couple catchy ones.
FFXII: Didn't really care for any of the music in this game. Nothing stands out anyway.
FFT: Battle on the Bridge (where you defend the princess with Delita and Gafgarion turns on you). Overall quality of all the music in this game is serious awesome.
My favorites are (in no particular order):
J-E-N-O-V-A
FF4 Zermous fight
One Winged Angel
i think FFT had the best overall soundtrack of any FF game ;x
The Landing lol, it was cool indeed!Originally Posted by Carbon
