Shield Bash improved?

Exping my 71PLD on spiders in Mamook, I noticed a big change in Shield Bash. Before, stun would proc maybe 25% of the time on IT. In this party, it proc'ed every single time and for a good 5+ seconds. The spider would literally no nothing for 5 or more seconds, and what really got me thinking is that the "... is no longer stunned" message would never be displayed.

Can anyone confirm or deny this ninja update? I was using General's Shield and no Shield Bash enhancing gear.

Yeah I know if you look hard enough you can find a Topic about MNK Chi Blast stunning them around the time ToA came out

I was leveling pld on crawlers in cnest yesterday and most of my shield bashes were stunning them.

I'm not sure how susceptible crawlers are to shield bash though.

To OP:

Shield Bash has always had an astonishing affect on spiders in Aht Urhgan areas. Sometimes i farm them for webs/seals/light exp/skill up as pld/rdm.

I usually cover my stoneskin cast with a flash, but if the mob manages to sneak a hit in anyway, i just shield bash them and put stoneskin up. Everytime i have done this, my casting (fast cast II if it makes a difference) finishes a good second before stun wears off.

This is the only mob ive seen that is affected like this with Shield Bash.

I just assumed you were talking about Chi Blast, but i find it hard to believe either 1 would give 30tp...to any mob... how did u find this out?

Great idea, but i doubt my lvl 1 bst could charm EP as a subjob...

What i will do is grab a BST friend , shield bash, then let him charm it and tell me what its tp is. thx for the idea, i will post results when i get time to try it out.

Charm potency isn't based on the /BST's level, I've nailed charm on EP-DCs at 75 with /3BST.

Also Jump/High Jump stun Attercrops as well.

If you dual weild kraken club, hexa strike is 42 hits.

Tbh I highly doubt you feeding a mob 30 TP every 5 minutes really makes a difference.

Mazurka actually gives negative enmity now, but won't reduce your enmity bellow the lowest point. Pretty cool for long HNM fights in dungeons.
