A Couple of FFVI Questions

All the character can easily Rapega at lvl 99, pick the ones you enjoy the most & let them go to town.

Pretty much. Stick a Merit Award on Relm and she can equip Snow Muffler too! Sabin can be a master spellcaster with +Magic esper leveling and Thamasa/Celestriad. Once you get Celestriads, there's really not much difference between physical and magical attacks for the most part. 5 Ultimas do about as much as Cat Scratch Genji/MasterScroll Gogo, and unless you're doing Den dragons or similarly absurd things, everything will die anyways.

I've gotten to the point where I can solo brachiosaurs with Cyan (Quick+Tempestx2 twice), Gogo (Cat Scratch as above), or Celes (5 Ultimas, duh), around level 60. Anyone who can doublecast Ultima/Quick, Ultima/Ultima, Ultima/Ultima can demolish any normal encounter, and a party built like that can kill any story boss in seconds.

Hell, I was sweeping the colluseum with a level 60 Gogo equipped with Imp gear, as an Imp, with three attacks equipped and Dragoon Boots/Dragon Horn. Might not beat Siegfried or Chupon, but just about anything else.

I got master scroll last night, I heared the atma/ms combo is good, where do I get Atma Weapon from?

Also what is the offering / where can I get it?

Master's Scroll = Offering

Master's Scroll = GBA Name
Offering = SNES Name

Atma Weapon = Ultima Weapon

Atma Weapon = SNES Name
Ultima Weapon = GBA Name

(You probably already have an Ultima Weapon, it's from that boss in the floating continent. There's another one of those in Kefka's tower, and I think you can get another one from that (not 100% sure on this one, haven't played in a few weeks =x) You can also steal one from the top form of the final boss (aswell as a ragnarok))

Ah thanks, well I guess i'm screwed because I have no ultima weapons in my inventory, oh well. Didn't realize there were so many "one chance" things in this game that really screw you over if you miss them.

Neither Atma nor Atma Weapon drop the Atma Weapon, at least in the SNES version.

The other I believe is stolen from Sleep, aka the third tier of the final boss, not the one shaped like a Girl but the one you can't hit until you kill Girl, you know, the one that uses Calmness as a finisher.

Yeah, if you miss the one in the cave to the sealed gate before the emperor and kefka launch the flying continent, its gone for good. I never really used it until near the end of the game. Pretty much end up sticking it on Locke with the Valiant Knife. Offering I always give to Setzer coupled with Fixed Dice, so he isn't a complete gimp. . However, in the GBA version you can get multiple Offerings in the Soul Shrine or w/e it is called.

You can steal the Ultima Weapon and Ragnarok from the third forms of the end boss. You can beat the game multiple times and steal each time (I did it once, can you keep doing it?) and build them up if you wanted to. If you miss it in the WoB, though, you cannot get it until the very end.

Also, take the Ragnarok instead of the esper because cursed shield teaches you Ultima. I'm pretty sure there aren't any major items that you can't get without having the Ultima esper, either (though I could be wrong on this). In GBA version though it might be wiser to take esper, since you can steal a ragnarok from the last guy.

A slight necro because I didn't feel that this was enough to warrant its own thread...

What would be a better steal set up:

A) Brigand's Glove and Thief's Bracer

B) Genji Glove, Master Scroll, 2x Thief's Knife

Would the B scenario actually have 8 chances at stealing, would the +steal on the Thief's Bracer outweigh that, or would the Master Scroll paired with the Thief's Bracer allow for 4 decent steal chances? Comments?
